Anyone see Lava rebounding into a solid G or will it be one of the younglings taking over?

I really think there are going to be better candidates in the 20's in the 2018 draft than Paxton Lynch.
Lynch was a panic reach for Denver based on measurables.
He was slated to be a late #2 or early #3 but went in Round 1 because Elway has a fascination with 6'6 plus quarterbacks.
See Brock Osweiler here.
But in the end Lynch like Osweiler has the arm but seemingly none of the intangibles, natural feel for playing the position.
So, no to Lynch and any of the other 'reaches' that out there looking for a new home at qb.
Let's draft and develop a guy we believe in.

One of? More like one youngling at the moment; Kouandijo who could get the nod.
4 Guards with playing time right now (Lauvao, Scherff, Kouandijo & Long) and Long is at Center, where he's likely to stay considering their other Centers are Chase Roullier & Ronald Patrick. And Spencer's playing well there so leave him in the middle.
There's a handful of OL guys behind those Guards and the 3 Tackles (TW, Ty & Moses) but outside of Painter they're UDFA's from either this year or last year. Painter is a 6th round Tackle & he's been a career PS guy. Washington's the 5th team he's been with since being drafted in '13.
For those of the mind to put TW @ Guard; they only have two LTs & your playing them both at the same time. So if one goes down - you'll need a Guard. Again.

I think we draft another guard in 2018.
The simplicity in me is complicated.
I live in my own little world, but that's ok. They know me here.

DeAngelo Hall to start the season on PUP.
Tell me again why he's even on the roster?
A real GM would've moved on already.

As long as he's not taking up a roster spot, I don't see it as cause for alarm.

Curious on your guys opinion of this years camp battle at TE. Between Reed, Davis, Paul, Carrier, Sprinkle & Garner(?), who's likely to stick around? Isn't sprinkle good enough to get snatched up if we PS him?

RG3 finally got some interest.
He's working out for the Chargers, who already have 4 QB's on the roster.

Sprinkle probably makes the team but unless he shows that he can be a viable option if Reed goes down, you gotta keep Davis. Reed has missed 18 games in 4 years so you need a solid plan 'B' there. Not out of the equation that they will carry 4 TEs as they did last year. But only Davis played 16 games out of that group. I'm sure that they'd like to get that to 3 guys but they've been severally jinked at that spot for awhile now. If 4 TE's, then Paul is in and Carrier & Garner are out.

Great story on Ky Garrett.
He is planning and believing on playing football again eventually, and gradually working towards that goal.
With what he's been through, it would be one of the greatest comeback story the NFL has seen.

Moving on may not be in the team's best interest, if he's making this kind of positive impact on the team, at the "bargain" of not even taking up a roster spot.....
While it is expected that D.J. Swearinger and Su'a Cravens will be the team’s starting safeties during the 2017 season, Hall still fills an important role for the Redskins.
“He’s kind of been a mainstay here and he kind of keeps the boat from sinking from time to time,” said Redskins head coach Jay Gruden. “There’s some volatile people in that defensive back room from time to time and he’s a calming guy, if you can believe that [laughter]. D-Hall is. He’s been great. He’s been a great leader for us. Unfortunately for him, injuries have shortened his season. Hopefully we’ll be able to get him back at a later date, but if we don’t have him back when we want to, at least he’ll be in the room and still have a major influence on the team and the defense.”

I've said this before - just not a big believer in keeping guys around for their 'leadership' skills as I think those are vastly overrated. You don't see teams like the Pats and Steelers do that. When their players start aging out, it doesn't matter who they are, they move on. Sure, the argument that he's not taking up a roster spot is fine, but that's actually an argument in favor of moving on. A) if he's not on the roster, his 'leadership' and 'veteran savvy' are not benefiting anyone, and b) the fact that he still can't get physically healed to even practice is a pretty good indicator he's done as a major NFL contributor at this point.
