The pat Ax on the back thread: Kai Forbath

I can definitely overlook the kickoff distance for accurate field goals. I'll take accuracy all day any day. Agree with those saying lock this dude up.

Edit: Kudos to Ax for settling our kicking game!

Seriously his kickoffs lack the oomph I'd hoped for. If we cut Banks, we could afford to carry a kickoff specialist! :biggrin2::wall:

I actually think kicking out of the end zone is bad...

The NFL moved the kicking special teams up 5 yards. So what's the real impact of this?

Well, so far teams have decided that it means it's easier to kick it out of the end zone and are doing that to put the other team on the 20...

But there's another side of this... If you can put the ball on the goal line, or a yard or two deep in the end zone, you can have the other team bring the ball out - and now you're guys are 5 yards closer...

By kicking it short we have a chance of pinning the team inside the 20 - around the 10 or 15. And it's a good shot, not just an issue of luck, it's a legit chance.

So maybe it'll be better that he doesn't kick it out of the end zone.

Either way I could give 2 craps about it, if you're putting points on the board every opportunity you get then that's good enough for me!

I feel like opposing teams are doing this to Banks a lot. Just another reason to cut him!
