Buddy hired Rex. Bum hired Wade. If Monte had ever taken one of the numerous head coaching jobs offered to him, I'm sure he would have hired Lane. There are probably plenty more we don't hear about because their offspring don't end up being that great.

The reason Kyle is OC here is because that was his position in Houston. I'm pretty sure coaches can't switch teams and go downwards, the move has to be lateral. Hence, he is the OC here.
