REDSKINS MAKE ROSTER MOVES
LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed free agent cornerback David Jones and waived/injured cornerback Crezdon Butler. The Redskins also signed defensive lineman Chigbo Anunoby (ch-BOO Ann-u-noby) to their practice squad and released defensive lineman Delvin Johnson from their practice squad.
Jones (6-0, 197) spent the preseason with the Redskins after signing with the team as a free agent on July 24, 2012. He was released by the Redskins on Aug. 31, 2012. In the preseason, Jones added eight tackles and three passes defensed.
Anunoby (6-4, 324) entered the NFL as a college free agent with the Indianapolis Colts on April 30, 2012. He played collegiately at Morehouse (Ga.) during the 2010 and 2011 seasons and Lincoln (Mo.) during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. At Morehouse, he appeared in 21 games and amassed 93 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and six forced and recovered fumbles. Anunoby earned first-team All-SIAC honors as a senior in 2011.
Butler (6-0, 191) was in his first season with the Redskins after being claimed off waivers on Sept. 1.
Johnson (6-3, 324) originally signed with the Redskins as a college free agent on May 6, 2012.
