Default Jammal Brown and Rocky McIntosh Not Happy As Inactives

After a 5-11 finish no one has a whole lot of patience or sympathy to throw around, be it fans, media or the coaching staff.

Jammal Brown and Rocky McIntosh evidently weren't happy with being made inactive for the Eagles game.

    Wah! Wah!

Brown has been injured repeatedly over the past 2 years and the team has been unable to count on his suiting up from week to week, and yet in Game 16 he is angry the team penciled in Polumbus to start at RT.

Poor ole Jammal needs to wake up and smell the coffee. 30 year old veterans who can't stay on the field are at risk in the NFL, a point Shanahan made in his comments.

Maybe Jammal should think about all the dollars he has pocketed for very little quality work over the past 32 games.

McIntosh is the opposite case. He has been on the field, but regardless of alignment, he has never lived up to his status coming out of Miami. I thought he was a rushed pick by the Redskins in 2006 given his knee problems which have cost him considerable time on the IR during his six NFL seasons.

He wants to move on and that's fine. One would think, though, he could keep his cool and professionalism for one more week until the season was over. But evidently, he decided to act out in meetings and the nights leading up to the Eagles game and show his contempt for the organization so Shanahan made him inactive as an unnecessary distraction.

For both Brown and McIntosh as well as Sean Locklear who had a horrible season backing up the OL positions, the smart move would have been to keep their mouths shut as the season ended.

Their performances on the field spoke for themselves.

Exactly, they were both outproduced on the field. I rooted for Rocky, but he was never more than okay at the 4-3 and he was a liability in the 3-4. Similarly, I hoped that Brown would round back into shape, but he hasn't been a force and is too often injured.

Dems the breaks. One guy's body failed him and the other's play did. Neither gets you free playing time.

McIntosh is the last of the malcontents that is stuck in 2006-2009 when the Redskins were signing big free agents.

Because he is still mouthing all the venom about the Redskins signing new players and failing to sign those that are loyal to the team.

The fact is London Fletcher is going to be resigned at age 37 because he is still effective.

McIntosh on the other hand needs to depart.

Another guy with an attitude from the 'U'.

Can't wait till these guys are off the roster.
