Since our guys have proven to be pretty hopeless this season, I decided we should have a little fun with this. Instead of the typical predict the score, I thought it might lighten the mood a bit to predict the score in a different way.

The rules are simple, all predictions have to have us as the winner, and the stats have to be impressive. I don't mean saying someone will rush for 500 yards, try to keep it somewhat in the realm of reality. And hell, if any of us hit on anything, we can claim foresight and genius.

So here we go.....

Graham Gano will hit a 60+ yard FG
Roy Helu Will rush for 200+ yards
Wrecks Gross Man will throw for for 400+ yards with 0 INT
Jabar Gaffney will finish the game with 16 receptions

In a late season show of mastery against an overly confident Cowboys team, the Redskins secure their first shutout in 20 years by beating their most hated rivals.

Redskins 38
Cowboys 0

Roy Helu with catch 17 balls for 180 yards.

Cannon(not William Conrad but close) will throw for 478 yds and 4 tds

Sav Rocca will pass for a TD off a fake field goal attempt.

DeAngelo Hall will actually cover somebody.

Skins 35

Cowboys 10

Kerrigan and Orakpo each get two sacks.

Hall gets a pick six.

We hold Dallas to 17 points and score 14 off turnovers.

Grossman throws two TDs.

Redskins 34
Dallas 17

Kerrigan gets a sack fumble which Orakpo returns for a score.

Brandon Banks returns a kick for a TD.

Helu breaks one for 76 yards and a score.

Dallas is once again limited to FGs, only 3 this time.

Grossman has no INTs.

Redskins 34
Dallas 9

Cowboys 62
Redskins 7

The Redskins lose the rest of their games. The Colts, in trying to help the fortunes of their head coach (from being fired), go on to win four games and the Redskins secure the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 draft.

The Colts, now picking 2nd, offer their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th rd. picks in 2012 along with the 1st, 3rd, and 7th rd. picks in 2013. The Redskins take the deal.

The Cleveland Browns, picking 6th and 18th in the first rd. offer those two picks along with their 2nd, 4th, and 7th rd. picks. The Redskins say "no thanks", but Holmgren adds the 1st, 3rd, and 5th rd. picks for 2013. The Redskins take the offer.

Rd. 1 - With the sixth pick in 2012, the Redskins select Robert Griffin III, QB from Baylor.

Rd. 1 - With the 18th pick, the Redskins select Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford - a surprise drop due to other teams targeting defense, QB, and WR.

Rd. 2 - With the first pick in the 2nd round, the Redskins select Dont'a Hightower, ILB, Alabama.

Rd. 2 - With the second pick in rd. 2, the Redskins select Chase Minnifield, CB/KR, Virginia.

Rd. 2 - With the sixth pick in rd. 2, the Redskins select David DeCastro, G, Stanford.

Rd. 3 - With the first pick in rd. 3, the Redskins select Michael Brewster, C, Ohio State.

Rd. 3 - With the second pick in rd. 3, the Redskins select Kevin Zeitler, G, Wisconsin.

Rd. 3 (Compensatory) - Due to the shortened offseason in 2011, several teams with few wins are offered comp picks. The Redskins are awarded with 3rd, 5th, and 6th rd. picks. With this pick, the Redskins select Nate Potter, G/OT, Boise State.

Rd. 4 - With the first pick of rd. 4, the Redskins select T.J. McDonald, S, USC.

Rd. 4 - With the sixth pick of rd. 4, the Redskins select Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford.

Rd. 4 (via Oakland) - With the 17th pick of rd. 4, the Redskins select LaMichael James, RB, Oregon.

Rd. 5 - With the first pick of rd. 5, the Redskins select Dontari Poe, NT, Memphis.

Rd. 5 - With the second pick of rd. 5, the Redskins select Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State.

Rd. 5 (Compensatory) - With this pick, the Redskins select Lucas Nix, G, Pittsburgh.

Rd. 6 (Compensatory) - With this pick, the Redskins select Joe Halahuni, FB/H-Back, Oregon State.

Rd. 7 - With the first pick of the 7th rd., the Redskins select Ryan Broyles, WR/PR, Oklahoma. His stock drops due to a torn ACL recently, but should make a full comeback. This will be the steal of the draft as he goes on to have multiple pro bowl seasons.

Rd. 7 - With the sixth pick of the 7th rd., the Redskins select Chandler Harnish, QB, Northern Illinois.

UFDA signings will be devoted primarily to OL, LB, and FS/SS.

In 2013, the Redskins will have three first round selections, two second round choices, three third rounders, a fourth rounder, three fifth selections, a sixth round choice, and two seventh round picks.

Only 1 problem with that BB - no team can have more than 10 picks in 1 draft :)

BB, you are officially my hero. And if this comes true, I will drive up to NJ and kiss you on the lips.

Thanks for the kind words. That would be cool if it happened or something close to it. We did it in last year's draft, so we can do it again. :)

One other thing. Feel free to stop in for a visit, but I will settle for a nice looking, single, 40 something/50 something female. That would be a better choice for me in the long run. We can shake hands though. :)

You know, in all seriousness, I think some of that is a stretch, but not all. There are going to be some desperate teams in the draft, particularly if the top flight QBs start flying off the board early. If we like one of the lower-top tier Qbs (if that makes any sense), we may indeed be able to make some noise trading down and still getting our guys, particularly if we end up with a top 5 pick.

And fine. No kiss. Hug it out?

:)

Tony Romo will fumble twice with both being recovered by the Redskins one of which will be run in for a TD by Adam Carriker.

DeAngelo Hall will get two INTs-one of a pass aimed at Miles Austin and one aimed at Jason Witten both of which will result in Redskins scores, 1 TD, 1 FG.

London Fletcher will recover a forced fumble he causes against DeMarco Murray also setting up a FG.

Gano, BTW, will go 5 for 5 including a personal best of 62 yards.

Roy Helu will score on a 2-pt conversion attempt.

The Redskins will manage to trade enough picks and players to nab the #1 draft pick from the Colts and draft Andrew Luck and also will pick up Matt Flynn in FA giving them the most feared starting QB and backup combo in the league.

Lastly, no less than 4 OL positions will be filled with the balance of the draft.

Score: Redskins 37, Cowboys 17

:)

if the qb drafted was tannehill or jones I would be more excited about that scenario, Griffin doesnt impress me.

Roflmbo!

Yeah, it's difficult to be impressed with 479 yds. passing and 84 yds. rushing against the 5th ranked team in the nation.

Seriously, he needed to be over 600 passing and 200 rushing (in the same game) to garner my attention.

lol.gif

Grossman fumbles twice on QB sacks....one fumble is picked up by Williams and he is escorted by the o-line on a 16 YARD TD scamper. Rak blindsides Romo, Kerrigan snaps up fumble and scores on 30 yard run. Gano boots 3 FGs.......

Skins 23

I can't even conjure up a make believe scenario of us winning. They did everything humanly possible to give us the last game and we still lost. I say we get absolutely hammered by 3 tds or more.:frown2:
