Default Anybody Want McNabb Back Here?

McNabb is again working in an offense geared to what he has done before and he has Peterson and Harvin as weapons. So far he is one of sthe lowest ranked passers in the NFC. The Vikings are 0-2 even after a strong game from Peterson today. One can ask where the passing game went to. Even Brett Favre on one leg last season was doing more.

I haven't seen the post-game press conferences from Minnesota for the first 2 weeks, but I wonder what spin McNabb has put on everything.

Must be 'it takes a while for new players to gel with one another and learn in the same scheme. we are making incremental progress each week, things fans don't see. but we will come around eventually. I am convinced of it.'

    Sound reasonable?

Now, I want to see one of the talking heads explain how McNabb was given so much credibility last year with blame accruing to Kyle Shanahan as the average performer from past seasons, Rex Grossman, is able to throw for 305 and 291 yards the first two games of this season.

Well, I can't speak for the experts, but my problem with the coaching staff and McNabb last year was the fact that we spent draft picks for that washed up QB.

Umm...to answer the question posed in the title. No!

It will be interesting what the talking heads say during the week. I doubt that dynamic is mentioned, the one between Rex and McNabb, I mean.

    Hell no!

Didn't want the overrated choke artist before we got him.

Hated that I was forced to root for him to do well while he was here.

And, happier than a sissy in a pink dress that he's gone.

The talking heads will not discuss the Rex vs McNabb decision any longer because neither QB's play supports their previous position on the subject.

Still not sure why people thought McNabb was a fit for our offense. I thought he was an upgrade to Campbell, and for that I deserve to eat crow. He wasn't. But I knew it wasn't a good trade for a rebuilding team.

The whole McNabb fiasco still boggles my mind. I still can't figure out what the hell we were thinking.

At this point though it's spilled milk. He's not a Redskin anymore so who cares. It's time to move on.

The thing that threw me for a loop was the extension we gave him right before he was benched.

He looked decent yesterday. Not great, but definitely better than last week.

Looking better than 39 yards passing makes you look decent? You have low standards, my friend

18 of 30 for 228. And he can surprisingly still run when needed.

Not stellar by any means, but I wouldn't be concerned about him running the Vikes offense.

You know you are done when instead of of flashing superior play, you flash decent play.

The days of McNabb as a player defenses fear is over.

He is a 34 year old quarterback trying to hold onto the game for an additional couple of years.

The coach in Minnesota is a defensive specialist and when he says McNabb is his answer and he is not looking to replace him down the road, you have to roll your eyes.

That's two organizations that have punted on McNabb in the last 18 months.

The Vikings are now 0-2 and haven't exactly been lighting things up.

My guess is McNabb is benched for the 'future' before the end of the current season.

a better question would be " who wants Jason back?" Mcrapp has been exposed badly with a 71 rating, meanwhile Campbell has looked very good with some decent protection and no Percy Harvin or AP.

Joe Gibbs and Co. really missed out in 2005. Sitting there at #24 was Aaron Rodgers and the Redskins moved up to #25 to get Campbell. They were focusing on the wrong quarterback.

Just imagine if they had been looking at Rodgers and had made a deal to get to #20 or #22.

THAT and not the departure of Campbell is what I look at as a true watershed moment that was missed.

I thought there were reports that Rodgers was who they were actually targeting at the 25 spot, thinking there is no way Green Bay was taking him since Favre was still on fire. Great move by Green Bay!

Was Jason the real target all along?
