No, I'm not talking about the 'Political Asylum' forum :)

I'm talking about the 1961 movie.

John Huston directs the Arthur Miller screenplay, starring Eli Wallach (check out 'Baby Doll' if you're not familiar with him), Montgomery Clift, Kevin McCarthy, Clark Gable, and Marilyn Monroe.

Incredibly, this was not just the 'grey around the temples' Clark Gable's last film, but it was also the last time Marilyn Monroe graced the screen. Lots of ironic foreshadowing of what was to come in this one. So sad that that this was Gable's (by all appearances vibrant and still playing a leading man) swan song, but Monroe's last film. She was still beyond beautiful and mesmerizing.

Never seen the film before this evening. Thought I'd share.

If you like Clarke Gable, might I suggest "It happened one night". My favorite Gable movie

Absolutely, and one of my all time favorite movies of any era.

Boone, I will have to check out The Misfits. It has been on my list for years, but had never heard a review from anyone other than a movie critic. As we all know, their opinions are garbage. Some of the greatest movies I ever saw were slammed by critics. It actually used to be a gauge on whether I'd see a movie or not  Anyone who can say the English Patient was a must see while bashing The Outsiders should be taken to the woods and shot.
