Welcome to Friday the 13th

Soooooooooooo...... natural question here, ,what's your favorite scary movie. And if any of you put Hostel or some torture porn crap, I will sic Mrs. Vorhees herself on you!

My favorite is probably the original Halloween or The Thing.

Not a big fan of horror movies, but I would put Zombieland or Shaun of the Dead if they are allowed.

The Exorcist for me. I saw it with a group at the Super Chief Drive-In in Oxon Hill. Scared the crap out of me!

As for movies that really scared me, I gotta go with Chris. Exorcist scared the bajeezus out of me! I was like 8 when I saw it the first time and that was just a Sunday Night movie on Broadcast TV so...

I will admit something funny here that will challenge my man status regarding one of the Classics. I was like 15 and I was dating a girl who was 17. First off, having an older girl drive you around was embarrassing for me so I made her let me drive. :betterwink: Anyway, we went to see Nightmare on Elm Street. I won't say I was scared, it was a movie and I was old enough to know better, but they did a masterful job of surprise in that flick that made me jump a couple of times. She asked me at least twice if I was really scared. Well, if I remember correctly, that was our last date. :laugh:

As far as movies, I've always liked the ones with a scary heart-stopping jolt ending-Phantasm, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the 1978 re-make, Donald Sutherland's pod scream at the end silenced the entire theatre when I went to see it.

For constant terror, the first Halloween movie, Silence of the Lambs, and Pet Sematary (also the most frightening King novel I ever read!)

BTW, about it being Friday the 13th;

I won $200 on a scratch-off ticket in the Virginia lottery on a Friday the 13th.

So there.
