Default Former Cowboys Quarterback Don Meredith Dies of Brain Hemorrhage

People droppin' like flies this year

RIP Dandy Don. You and Howard were the best MNF crew there was

    http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2010/1...in-hemorrhage/

SANTA FE, N.M. -- Don Meredith, one of the most recognizable figures of the early Dallas Cowboys and an original member of ABC's "Monday Night Football" broadcast team, died Sunday. He was 72.

Meredith's wife, Susan, told The Associated Press on Monday her husband died in Santa Fe after suffering a brain hemorrhage and lapsing into a coma. She says a private graveside ceremony is being planned and that family members were traveling to Santa Fe.

"He was the best there was," she said, describing him as kind, warm and funny. "We lost a good one."

Sarge, 2010 is going to go down, in my memory at least, as the year a lot of good people I remember went away. It's been a tough one in that respect-you're definitely right about that.

I loved watching Don and Howard-they were fun and enjoyable.

    RIP Mr. Meredith-you did well.

I'm giving it a 2-4 year window. Looking for improvement in all areas. Redskins, you're on the clock.
