I actually was unaware he was cut by the Eagles. Need to keep up better. So Harris and Hall in the secondary huh?

Watched Macho throughout his VT career and figured him a lock to at least get a realistic shot to play in the NFL based solely on his physical skills. Man is a man.

Thing about Macho in college was, I was never sure from play to play if he was going to zig when he was supposed to zig. As often as not he'd seem to zag, and you could see the frustration on Bud Foster and Frank Beamer's faces when it would happen.

Macho MAY evolve into a solid NFL player, but if I had to put my own hard-earned money on it today, my guess is he's closer on the scale to a Devin Thomas than a Lorenzo Alexander on what happens between his ears after the snap.

I read where one of the knocks on him is lack of speed. Never really saw him play, so can't speak to this. If true, does he play faster in games?

Never thought of him as particuarly fast, but not slow either. He just seemed to get himself out of position too often. Was never able to tell how much of that was due to bad preparation, or recognition, or what.

Just for the record, according to this draft report he turns in a 4.46 40.

He's be a backup Safety who plays Special Teams. He wasn't brought in to be a starter. Since D. Hall refers to him as littlebro, I'm sure he will help him out as much as he can and we go from there. I don't see it as anything more than filling a hole caused by injuries.
