Post Mr. Irrelevant: Ten Cool Redskins Stats at Midseason

Notable statistics from the Redskins first eight games …1. Anthony Armstrong is averaging 21.6 yards per catch. I believe that’s the highest for a Redkins receiver since Charlie Brown back in 1982. (Charlie Brown!)2. Chris Cooley has 39 receptions. That’s third among all tight ends and is three off the pace being set by Antonio [...]

It's cool in the sense that it puts into perspective how below average he's been I guess Mike. The odd thing about it, Cooley and Moss and their reception numbers balancing off McNabb's low QB rating. Seems, bass ackwards a bit.

Not when you look at the full list and see that Armstrong is 3rd on the team and he is on a pace to have only 34 receptions for the season. K Williams is 4th and he is only on pace for 28 for the year. When you see that, it is clear that Cooley and Moss are McNabbs #1 and #1a read on the majority of attempts.

    6. LaRon Landry, London Fletcher, DeAngelo Hall and Rocky McIntosh all have 63 tackles or more. That puts four Redskins in the NFL’s top-13 in tackles, which is odd.

That means the defense is on the field entirely too much. The offense needs to get it in gear.
