Default RI: Mike Shanahan to reduce minicamp from three days to two

Mike Shanahan to reduce minicamp from three days to two

Things could be a little easier for Albert Haynesworth next week.

Apparently satisfied with the progress the team has shown, Coach Mike Shanahan plans to reduce the mandatory minicamp from three days to two, several people in the organization said Friday morning. The Redskins will practice Wednesday and Thursday and be off Friday.

I say mincamp should be reduced for everyone EXCEPT Haynesworth.

Well, at least this reduces the chances of injuries.

I'll trust that Shanahan knows how the team is shaping up.

On day three Shanahan should open by saying "The following players are ahead of the curve and can take the day off"

... and then read off every name but Al's.

Not good news for Haynesworth.....if he's way behind the learning curve, he's not playing/flopping.

I have been hesitant to reveal my opinion on this matter, but it has to deal with what you've said WD. I am wondering if it is the intention of Shanahan to make it more difficult for Albert by limiting his opportunity/time to catch up? Maybe seeing if he comes in shape and curious to see if he will work hard to catch up? Or is he simply giving those who have worked hard a little bonus?
