REDSKINS MAKE ROSTER MOVES

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have made the following roster moves:

The Redskins signed the following college free agents:

PLAYER POS. HT. WT. COLLEGE
Jonathan Bonner DE 6-4 295 Notre Dame
Jerald Foster G 6-3 310 Nebraska
Deion Harris DB 6-3 197 North Dakota
Austin Maloata DL 6-2 283 Austin Peay
Craig Reynolds RB 5-11 215 Kutztown

The Redskins waived the following players:
RB Russell Hansbrough
DB Joshua Holsey
T Roubbens Joseph

Skins notably moving on from Josh Holsey

Had Holsey off the final roster of 53 in my latest article at Riggo's Rag. Happened quicker than I thought.

I think it probably reflects the talent we've got in the wings, vs. a statement on his own talent. NFL is a rough business. All about 'show me', which I guess it has to be. Good sign for other players though...

Yep, feel like for Holsey it came down to a numbers game w/ the amount of guys competing for the depth corner spots: Stroman, Danny Johnson, Adonis Alexander, and the JMU guy they just drafted.

Smootie was gushing over Moreland (JMU draftee) the other day.

So, when you list those guys as depth, does that mean you believe that Moreau has the slot locked up ?

I think so, until proven otherwise. I see Norman, Dunbar, DRC, and Moreau as the the top 4 corners (for now).

That's interesting. A lot of people are saying that DRC is going to play safety.
But that's probably speculation. I think it's a common fan perception, that when corners grow older, they grow up to be safetys.
