Well, seeing as though he is injured, AGAIN, he is bound to be put on IR because it is the Jordan Reid way. I'm honestly surprised he lasted this long without a serious injury, but it had to happen sooner rather than later.

I believe his was only broken in one place, but would put the odds of him returning this season at 1 in 1000.

Hopefully yesterday was the last time we see Reed in a Redskins uniform.
He can go play wherever Loser Gruden winds up.

I only suggested Reid was heading to IR as a joke. He is injured (he has a sore foot) but people seem to think he deserves to go on it.

Another player that we've held on to that can't stay healthy. Ever.

Thompson and Reed need to go.

Can't count on them to get on the field and they are nearing 30.

Time to move on whether by trade or release, etc.

Worst part? They'll both leave, go to a team in a better position to win, then play well because they won't be asked to do too much. I could see New England making a move for Reed.

Forget IR, Jordan Reed can head to the VEC for all I care.

Man...it's rough walkng these streets! I'm gonna head the opposite direction if I see you guys headed my way!!!

That dude blocked me about three years ago. A bunch of Skins fans were having a discussion and Reid joined in. Most of us disagreed with him (it was something unimportant from what I remember) and then he got all angry. Then he went on a blocking spree - about thirty or forty of us - something that he does often, apparently.

He is very thin-skinned as are several of those ESPN types. I don't really care about the block. My life is not centered on what a member of the media thinks about me or any of my friends. The funny part about that incident is that all of us continued on with the conversation for about three weeks and didn't miss him at all.

Now, about Jordan Reed, lol.

John Keim is enother ESPNer who seems to like a lot of interaction with twitter fans.

Keim is good people. Jason Reid and Marty Smith, not so much.

Time to move on from Reed at age 29 in the off-season.

Jordan has shown us that realistically we are never going to get 16 games out of him and will need to keep a very strong #2 TE in place and pay him because he will end up starting a fair amount of the games.

The team is going to have to look at Josh Doctson as well. Can't imagine us picking up his fifth option next year if he continues to improve by amounts that can only be captured by an electron microscope.

Seems like fans and media have over-rated both Reed and Thompson.
They've made them out to be one of the top 2 at their positions, when healthy.
I don't know if they've been 100% when they did play this season, but neither one looked like world-beaters, when they were on the field.
So, either they're hurt, or they're not as great as advertised when on the field.
I don't think either one is a FA this offseason, so I wonder would cutting either one save much cap space.
Then again, it's not like we have a replacement at TE. Davis will be another step toward retirement next year, and Sprinkle appears to be a
"blocking TE" at best. We really need to draft a Gronk or an Ertz next year.

Fear, it's not the fans and media that have over-rated Thompson and Reed, it is the TEAM that has done so.

We overpaid for Reed initially as he was a player with one season of consistently excellent play with health.

He had several concussions earlier in college and his first couple of years in the NFL. He was a poor blocker. And again he was a heavy injury risk going forward.

Thompson at 5'9 and 175 is simply too small to hold up for 16 games even in a specialist role.

He has already missed the equivalent of SEASONS on the IR.

I remember Brian Mitchell being the third down back here in Washington for 9 years! He hardly missed any games and he was the team's primary punt and kickoff returner as well!

We have to get healthy as a team but we also need to look to see who season over season we can count on to stay on the field and move on from guys that miss a lot of time.

As Joe Gibbs said 'the most important ability in the NFL is DURABILITY'.
