REDSKINS-BUCCANEERS GAME NOTES

· The Washington Redskins defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 16-3, at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.

· It is the first time the Redskins have held their opponent to three or fewer points since defeating the Philadelphia Eagles, 10-3, on Dec. 21, 2008. Washington has now won 10 consecutive games in which it has held its opponent to three points or less.

· The Redskins now hold an 11-10 all-time regular season record against Tampa Bay. It is Washington's first win at Tampa Bay since defeating the Buccaneers, 24-22, on Sept. 30, 2012 on their last trip to Raymond James Stadium in regular season play.

· The Redskins move their overall record to 6-3 in regular season play and are 6-2 against NFC opponents. With the win, Washington has recorded its best start to a season through nine games since posting a 6-3 record through nine games in 2008 and their best start against the NFC since 2005.

· The Redskins improved to 3-1 on the road giving them their best road record to start a season since 2008.

· The Redskins finished with a 2-2 record against the NFC South this season. The team also finished 2-2 against the NFC South the last time the NFC South and NFC East were matched up in 2015 when the team secured victories over Tampa Bay and New Orleans and lost contests to Atlanta and Carolina.

· Redskins forced four turnovers (2 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries) and have now forced a turnover for the 13th consecutive week dating back to last season. Washington currently holds the longest active streak in the NFL forcing at least one turnover.

· The Redskins forced four turnovers in one game for the first time since forcing five turnovers in 41-21 win at the Chicago Bears on Dec. 24, 2016. Washington has now recorded two games on the season in which it has forced three or more turnovers. Washington finished the 2017 season forcing three or more turnovers in two games.

· The Redskins registered two sacks and have now recorded a sack for the 16th consecutive game. Barring the outcomes of today's game and entering Week 10, the streak is tied for the sixth longest active streak in the league with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
