We've hardly seen Sprinkle all year, but yet we're bringing up Garner.
Could this be an indication of coaches disappointment with Sprinkle, and wanting a last chance in a real game, to see if Garner can show something more than Sprinkle ?
And add to that, that neither Davis, nor Paul, nor Sprinkle is injured that I'm aware of, so the promotion of Garner seems odd - versus actually giving Sprinkle more playing time in the last game.

Is Kenny Hilliard related to Ike and was done as a favor move?

Jay mentioned a couple days ago bringing up practice squad guys to ‘try and get them a game check'.

Could just be trying to reward someone who has worked hard?

Hilliard isn't a common name, was just wondering if they were kin. Must not have made too good of an impression seeing how thin that group is now.

Also figured Sprinkle would be more involved as well Fear. Strange

I think they have put a premium on blocking at the TE position with all the OL injuries this year - probably not something they get trust Sprinkle to do a lot of yet...

Besides giving Garner a courtesy call, possibly looking at what they have if they chose to let Paul go. I don't think they're bailing on Sprinkle. Maybe they're OK for what Sprinkle gives them in blocking but looking to see if they can replace Niles 'production' between the 2 of them. Might save them from drafting a TE.

Well Garner must have had an amazing year of practice with the team, because there's nothing to suggest he's got much potential, from his 3 years of bouncing teams about 6 times, and hardly sniffed an active roster or a game during that time. That's an average of 2 teams per year.
