REDSKINS-BRONCOS GAME NOTES

• The Washington Redskins defeated the Denver Broncos, 27-11, in front of an announced crowd of 72,889 people at FedExField on Sunday.
• The Redskins have now earned consecutive wins for the first time since Weeks 2-3.
• The Redskins finished their home slate this season at 5-3 at FedExField.
• The Redskins won five games at home for the first time since 2015 (six) and the sixth time since 2000.
• The Redskins pushed their home winning streak to three games for the first time since compiling a four-game home winning streak in Weeks 4-11 of the 2016 season.
• The Redskins concluded their home slate on a three-game home winning streak for the first time since the team closed their 2012 regular season on a four-game home winning streak.
• The Redskins did not allow a touchdown in the game until surrendering a rushing touchdown with 1:18 remaining in the fourth quarter. The touchdown snapped a streak in which the Redskins had not allowed a touchdown in 139 minutes and 59 seconds of game play, dating back to the third quarter of the team's Week 14 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
• Including the fourth quarter against the Chargers in Week 14, four quarters against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 15, and the first three quarters against the Broncos, the Redskins held opponents without a touchdown in eight consecutive quarters for the first time since a three-game span from Weeks 1-3 of the 2007 season against the Dolphins, Eagles and Giants, respectively.
• The Redskins have now limited consecutive opponents to 15 or fewer points for the first time since Weeks 4-5 of the 2010 season.
• The Redskins accrued 386 yards of offense against the Denver defense, which had entered the contest ranked No. 1 in the NFL in total defense with an average of 276.8 yards allowed per game.
• With 386 yards on the day, the Redskins (5,002) reached 5,000 yards for a 13th consecutive season. Only five other NFL teams entered the year with an active streak of 12 or more seasons with 5,000 yards (Packers, Saints, Patriots, Eagles and Cowboys).
• The Redskins extended their streak of consecutive games with a touchdown to 51 (including postseason play) to take sole possession of the third-longest streak in team history, breaking a tie for third place with a streak set across the 1989-92 seasons. Washington entered the day with the third-longest active streak in the NFL.
• The Redskins did not allow a sack, the team's first sack-free offensive performance since Week 4 at Kansas City.
• Conversely, the Redskins recorded four sacks on defense and have now posted four or more sacks in back-to-back games for the first time since Weeks 3-4.
• Quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 19-of-37 passes for 299 yards with three touchdowns and one interception for a passer rating of 94.3.
• Cousins started his 47th consecutive regular season game for the Redskins, adding to the second-longest streak by a Redskins quarterback since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, trailing only Joe Theismann (60 from 1980-84).
• With the three touchdown passes, Cousins (27) passed himself (25 in 2016) and Sammy Baugh (25 in 1947) for sixth-most touchdown passes in a season in franchise history.
• With his first touchdown pass of the game, his 25th of the season, Cousins became the first quarterback in team history to record three 25-touchdown seasons.
• Cousins now has 99 career touchdown passes and is one shy of joining Sammy Baugh (187), Sonny Jurgensen (179), Joe Theismann (160), Billy Kilmer (103) and Mark Rypien (101) as the only players to throw 100 career touchdown passes with the Redskins.
• During the contest, Cousins (16,048) passed Mark Rypien (15,928) for the fourth-most career passing yards in Redskins history.
• Cousins pushed his total of passing attempts this season to 503, currently the ninth-most in a season in team history.
• Cousins' 327 completions this season are now tied with Jason Campbell (327 in 2009) for the third-most completions in a single season in franchise history.
• Cousins improved his season passing yardage total to 3,935, currently the fifth-most in a season in Redskins history.
• Wide receiver Jamison Crowder caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Cousins in the second quarter.
• The touchdown reception was Crowder's third of the season and the 12th of his career.
• Crowder has now caught a touchdown in back-to-back games for the first time since a three-game span in Weeks 8-11 of the 2016 season.
• The touchdown pass from Cousins to Crowder was the Redskins' 25th passing touchdown of the season. The Redskins have now posted three consecutive seasons with at least 25 touchdown passes for the first time in team history.
• Crowder recorded his 60th reception of the season on his first catch of the game. Crowder, who caught 67 passes a season ago, joined Gary Clark (72 in 1985, 74 in 1986) as the only players in Redskins history to reach 60 receptions in two of the first three years of an NFL career.
• Wide receiver Josh Doctson caught a 48-yard touchdown pass from Cousins in the fourth quarter.
• The touchdown reception was Doctson's team-leading sixth of the season.
• Doctson finished the contest with 61 yards, his second-highest total of the season (81, at New Orleans in Week 11).
• Tight end Vernon Davis gained 42 yards on two receptions, including a 31-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.
• With the touchdown reception, the 60th of his career, Davis tied former Redskins great Jerry Smith for seventh on the list of career touchdown receptions by a tight end in NFL history.
• The touchdown reception was Davis' third of the season, his most since a 13-touchdown campaign with the San Francisco 49ers in 2013.
• Wide receiver Ryan Grant gained a career-high 85 yards on four receptions, surpassing his previous career best of 76 yards against Dallas in Week 13.
• Grant added to his existing single-season career highs in receptions (43) and receiving yards (550).
• Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan started his 111th consecutive regular season game, the longest active streak among active NFL linebackers. Kerrigan has not missed a start in his NFL career.
• Kerrigan recorded 2.0 sacks, his 12th career game with 2.0 or more sacks and his third such game of the season.
• Kerrigan pushed his season sack total to 11.0, matching output from a year ago and tying for the 10th-most by a member of the Redskins in a single season since sacks became an official statistic in 1982.
• By recording his 10th sack of the season in the third quarter, Kerrigan registered his third career 10-sack season to join Charles Mann (five) and Dexter Manley (four) as the only Redskins to record at least three 10-sack seasons since the NFL adopted sacks as an official statistic in 1982. (Note: Coy Bacon unofficially notched three 10-sack seasons from 1978-80 prior to sacks becoming official).
• Kerrigan has now recorded back-to-back 10-sack seasons for the first time in his career.
• Kerrigan became the first member of the Redskins to post consecutive campaigns with double-digit sack totals since 1985-86, when both Mann and Manley accomplished the feat.
• Linebacker Preston Smith recorded 2.0 sacks and a forced fumble.
• The multi-sack game was Smith's first of the season and the third of his career.
• Smith recorded a sack and forced fumble of Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler in the second quarter.
• The fumble was recovered by linebacker Zach Vigil, the first fumble recovery of his career.
• The forced fumble was Smith's first of the season and the fourth of his career.
• Smith has now recorded a sack in back-to-back games for the first time since opening the season with sacks in four straight contests.
• Smith has now tied his single-season career high with 8.0 sacks this season, matching the mark he set as a rookie in 2015.
• Kerrigan and Smith became the first Redskins duo to each record at least 2.0 sacks in a game since Kerrigan and defensive lineman Jason Hatcher accomplished the feat against Jacksonville on Sept. 14, 2014.
• Safety D.J. Swearinger broke his single-season career high (three in 2016) with his fourth interception of the season, picking off Osweiler in the second quarter.
• Swearinger joined Kendall Fuller (four) as the second member of the Redskins with four interceptions this season. It marks the first time that multiple Redskins have recorded at least four interceptions in a single season since 2012 (London Fletcher, DeAngelo Hall and Rob Jackson).
• Safety Deshazor Everett recorded the first forced fumble of his career in the fourth quarter, stripping the ball from Broncos running back Devontae Booker.
• The fumble was recovered by defensive lineman Anthony Lanier II, his first of the season and the second of his career.
• The fumble recovery was granted to the Redskins following a replay challenge by Head Coach Jay Gruden after the play was initially ruled incomplete. Gruden is 3-2 on replay challenges this season.
• One week after holding Arizona to 145 passing yards, the Redskins held the Broncos to 171 passing yards. It marked the second time this season the Redskins have held opponents under 200 passing yards in back-to-back games (Weeks 12-13).
• The Redskins forced a three-and-out on the Broncos' opening drive. It marked the Redskins' fifth defensive three-and-out on an opponent's opening drive this season and the team's first since Week 13 at Dallas.
• The Redskins have held opponents scoreless on their opening drive in 12 of their 15 games this season. The Redskins entered the game ranked tied for the fewest opening drive scores allowed in the NFL this season.
• Kicker Dustin Hopkins converted 2-of-2 field goal attempts, pushing his current streak of consecutive made field goals to 10. It marks the third time in his career he has recorded a streak of at least 10 straight field goal attempts without a miss.
• Punter Tress Way posted a season-high 45.8-yard net punting average.
• The Redskins evened their all-time record with the Broncos, including postseason play, at 7-7.
• The Redskins leveled their record against AFC West opponents this season at 2-2.
• The game was the Redskins' second of their only set of back-to-back home games in 2017. The two-game home stand in Weeks 15-16 marked the latest in a season the Redskins have had their first set of back-to-back home games since the NFL adopted the 16-game schedule in 1978.
