REDSKINS-SEAHAWKS GAME NOTES

· The Washington Redskins defeated the Seattle Seahawks, 17-14, in front of an announced crowd of 68,927 at CenturyLink Field on Sunday.

· With the victory, the Redskins evened their record at 4-4 this season.

· The Redskins have now reached the halfway point of consecutive seasons with a record of .500 or better for the first time since the 2007-08 campaigns.

· The Redskins improved to 3-0 against NFC West opponents this season. Washington has now recorded three wins against the NFC West in a single season for the first time since 2011 (3-1).

· The Redskins leveled their road record this season at 2-2.

· Head Coach Jay Gruden earned his 25th career win, surpassing Mike Shanahan and Jack Pardee for sole possession of the sixth-most coaching victories in team history.

· Quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 21-of-31 passes for 247 yards for a passer rating of 91.7.

· Trailing 14-10 with 1:34 remaining, Cousins helped engineer a four-play, 70-yard touchdown drive to give the Redskins the lead.

· The fourth-quarter comeback victory is the seventh of Cousins' career and his first of the season. The fourth-quarter comeback win is his first since Dec. 11, 2016 at Philadelphia.

· The game marked the 11th time that Cousins' has engineered a go-ahead drive in the fourth quarter of an eventual Redskins victory.

· During the performance, Cousins reached 2,000 passing yards on the year. He joins Joe Theismann, Sonny Jurgensen, Mark Rypien, Jason Campbell, Gus Frerotte and Norm Snead as the only Redskins quarterbacks with at least three consecutive 2,000-yard passing seasons in team history.

· With his 14th completion of the game, Cousins became the fifth player to complete 1,200 career passes with the Redskins, joining Joe Theismann, Sonny Jurgensen, Sammy Baugh and Mark Rypien.

· Cousins started his 40th consecutive regular season game for the Redskins, already the third-longest streak by a Redskins quarterback since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger behind Joe Theismann (60 from 1980-84) and Mark Rypien (41 from 1990-93).

· The game snapped Cousins' streak of nine consecutive games with a touchdown pass, dating back to last season. The streak was the third-longest of his career, behind regular season streaks of 16 games in 2015 and 12 games in 2016.

· Running back Rob Kelley scored two rushing touchdowns, his second career game with multiple rushing touchdowns and his first since Week 11 of the 2016 season vs. Green Bay.

· Kelley has now scored a rushing touchdown in back-to-back games for the first time this season and the first time since Weeks 14-15 of the 2016 season.

· Kelley scored the team's first points of the game on a one-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and scored the game's final points on a one-yard touchdown run in the final minute.

· Kelley's first touchdown was the culmination of a 13-play, 67-yard drive. The drive was the Redskins' 10th scoring drive of 10 plays or more this season.

· Kelley also recorded his first career kickoff return on the game's opening kick, gaining 16 yards.

· Running back Samaje Perine also recorded his first career kickoff return in the contest, gaining 20 yards on a fourth-quarter return.

· Tight end Vernon Davis led the Redskins in receptions (six) and receiving yards (72). His six receptions were a season-high, surpassing his five receptions vs. Oakland in Week 3.

· On a 15-yard reception in the first quarter, Davis moved past Kellen Winslow (6,741) for the ninth-most career receiving yards by a tight end in NFL history.

· Wide receiver Josh Doctson set a career high with 59 receiving yards and matched his career high with three receptions. His 38-yard reception set-up Kelley's game-winning score.

· Wide receiver Brian Quick added season highs in receptions (three) and receiving yards (49).

· The Redskins won despite being limited to 244 net offensive yards. It marks the team's fewest yards in a regular season victory since a 190-yard performance in a 21-19 win vs. Arizona on Oct. 21, 2007.

· The game snapped a streak in which the Redskins had scored points on their opening drive in six consecutive games, the longest by the Redskins since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

· Defensively, the Redskins have now held opponents without any points on their first possession for seven straight games for the first time since the final seven games of the 2007 season. Washington has not surrendered any opening-drive points to opponents since allowing an opening drive touchdown in Week 1.

· With two picks, the contest was the Redskins' second multi-interception game of the season, joining their two-interception effort vs. Oakland in Week 3.

· In the first quarter, cornerback Kendall Fuller recorded his team-leading third interception of the season.

· At 22 years old, Fuller became the youngest member of the Redskins to record at least three interceptions in a season since Sean Taylor's four-interception season at 21 years of age in 2004, according to records provided by Pro Football Reference.

· Linebacker Will Compton added his first interception of the season in the third quarter.

· Compton's interception was the third of his career and his first since Week 8 of the 2016 season vs. Cincinnati in London.

· Compton finished the game with a career-high three passes defensed.

· The Redskins finished the game with 11 passes defensed, the team's most since registering 13 against the New York Giants in Week 12 of the 2015 season.

· The Redskins recorded two sacks, including a first-half sack by linebacker Zach Brown and a sack by defensive lineman Terrell McClain on the game's penultimate play.

· With the sacks, the Redskins have now recorded a sack in 32 consecutive regular season games, dating back to 2015. Washington's active streak of 32 games is the longest in the NFL.

· The 32nd consecutive regular season game with a sack added to the second-longest sack streak in team history since the NFL adopted sacks as an official statistic in 1982.

· Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan started his 104th consecutive regular season game, the longest active streak among active NFL linebackers. Kerrigan has not missed a start in his NFL career.

· The Redskins held the Seahawks without any offensive points in the first half, marking the second time this season the Redskins have held an opposing offense to no points in the first two quarters of play (Week 3 vs. Oakland).

· Safety DeAngelo Hall started for the Redskins in his first game since Week 3 of the 2016 season.

· Hall returned punts for the first time since Dec. 30, 2012, vs. Dallas.

· Hall's seven-yard punt return in the third quarter was his longest since a 16-yard return in Week 16 of the 2007 season at Arizona as a member of the Atlanta Falcons.

· The victory pushed the Redskins to 12-8 all-time against the Seahawks, including postseason play.

· The Redskins are now 12-5 all-time against the Seahawks in regular season play and are 7-1 against Seattle in regular season games since 2000.

· The Redskins extended their regular season winning streak in Seattle to four games, dating back to 2002.

· The Redskins earned a victory at CenturyLink Field, where the Seahawks entered the day 37-8 in regular season play since 2012. Their .841 winning percentage at home prior to the game since 2012 was the best in the NFL.

· Seahawks kicker Blair Walsh finished the game 0-of-3 on field goal attempts. He became the first kicker to miss three field goals against Washington in a single game since Baltimore Colts kicker Toni Linhart missed three field goals in an 0-for-3 performance against Washington on Nov. 6, 1978.
