Free Agency, The Mock Drafts, 2017(Continual Updates)
Greetings from BBQ to all in BGO land. The second and third rounds of the NFL Draft is just hours away. Who will the Redskins add to the roster? Will they go defense again or add to the offense? Is another “steal” on the horizon?
These questions and more will be answered tonight.
Today we bring you a list of players that have been mocked in the first, second, and third rounds round by BBQ. We think any of these players could be selected tonight. We are also providing a small list of players that received second and third round consideration during the mocking process.
If a player was mocked in a certain round and drops, then BBQ will include them in the proceeding round(s).
Let’s get right to it.
Rounds Two and Three Prospects
Forrest Lamp, OT/OG, Western Kentucky
Jay Gruden seemed cool to the idea of drafting a guard in round one. Or was that just funny coach speak? Well, he didn’t get selected in the first round.
Malik McDowell, DE, Michigan St.
The player that BBQ has mocked the most in the first round is now available in the second round. Or third round.
Chris Wormley, DE/DT, Michigan
BBQ had him mocked in the first round early in the process, but had him going in the second recently. BBQ looks to be correct on this one.
Marcus Williams, FS, Utah
Could the Redskins take a talented free safety on day two? We’ll find out.
Budda Baker, FS, Washington
Or how about this free safety? You’ve got to love the name.
Kevin King, CB, Washington
He’s a big, tall, talented corner. You can never have enough quality corners.
Joe Mixon, RB, Oklahoma
Is it possible? He’s a first round talent.
Adam Shaheen, TE, Ashland
Basketball players becoming tight ends is a trend. Shaheen could be the next one to journey from the hardwood to the field.
Justin Evans, FS/SS, Texas A&M
Another safety who has a lot of versatility.
Cooper Kupp. WR, Eastern Washington
How about a receiver? It’s a maybe on day two.
Sidney Jones, CB, Washington
This first round, top twenty talent likely needs a redshirt year, but would return in 2018.
D'Onta Foreman, RB, Texas
Powerful running back that could shine in a Jay Gruden system.
Anthony Walker, ILB, Northwestern
This talented inside linebacker would be a solid choice.
Carlos Watkins, DT/DE, Clemson
After taking the best DE in the draft on the first day, the Redskins could add another defensive lineman on day two.
Tanoh Kpassagnon, DE, Villanova
Big, tall, strong, talented. Does the transformation of the defensive line continue?
Brad Kaaya, QB, Miami
This seems much less likely than a few weeks ago.
Other Possible Targets
Zach Cunningham, ILB, Vanderbilt
Raekwon McMillan, ILB, Ohio St.
Obi Melifonwu, SS, Connecticut
Montravius Adams, DT/DE, Auburn
Nate Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh
