Big changes loom for the Redskins

It is Saturday before the last game of the year and Redskins nation is atwitter in anticipation. Not for the game mind you. The Redskins have had a terrible season, coming into Sunday with a 4-11 record and set to conclude a year that featured few highlights. Washington will play a San Diego team resting many starters, having already secured a division title and bye week. The Redskins on the other hand, have even more starters out with injury, and little to play for. Look for a yawner.

Rather, fans and observers are expecting changes to begin immediately following the season.

Washington in concluding a season, and decade, of mediocrity. Beginning with the 2000 NFL season, the Redskins have gone 70-89 in the regular season, and 40-40 at home. They went 1-2 in playoff appearances. Tomorrow’s game will put a bow on the decade.
