ES got shut down. I think I heard about it in some reddit post, that some old ES guys had started this site many years ago and now the refugees were heading there. Good policy on having no "tailgate" section. That place was poisonous on ES.
Great post, more or less captures my thoughts. One thing I'll add is that the 3 syllable name makes it difficult to incorporate into the fight song, "Hail to the Commanders........." is just clunky. The fact that the fight song was more less taken away doesn't get enough attention.
Edit: On...
WTF-- Why did Harris keep that piece of **** cover edition of Hail to the Redskins? And also, why is that dumb*** pig thing still running around on the sideline?
If we re-integrate some sort of Native American imagery, I'd go with (1) RedHawks, then (2) Warriors. If its too sensitive a topic, then (3) RedWolves or (4) RedHogs. Something that will mesh with the fight song. Have they started playing the fight song at the stadium again, or is its that...
The Redskins never should have traded Jay Schroeder. I know, they got Jim Lachey. But Doug Williams clearly was not the future in 1988, and Jay was a better QB than Mark Rypien. I happened to watch the first half of the Redskins/Bears divisional playoff game from 1/3/1987 a few months ago...
So this little story just popped into my face at work:

Lions playoff game puts Tom Brady’s conflict under brighter spotlight
Brady will be at Ford Field in Detroit to call the Lions’ divisional-round playoff game against the...
I heard at one point like 10 years ago that there was a second ES member whose name was similar, like Mass_SkinsFan or something. So the original MassSkinsFan had to have a private discussion with him to make sure he was legit, wouldn't dishonor his name, and that he wasn't being clowned....
So I'm also a refugee from ES. Originally registered in 2005. I asked for a voluntary permanent ban about 5 years ago, then re-registered under a pseudonym about 2 years later and posted some. My claim to fame was that I was one of the only members that MassSkinsFan liked before he went...
Whew.... that's a relief. Forgot that there's 18 weeks in the regular season, counting the extra game and the bye. Not to say that I wish Forbes any ill will, but it would be an enormous kick in the ass if he turned everything around 6 weeks after we cut him because we couldn't find a trade partner.
So is Jon Allen making any sort of impact during his return, or is he more or less damaged goods? Saw he played 44 snaps last week, which is basically what he played before his injury.
BTW: Looks like Forbes started for the Rams last week and played 95% of the snaps.
