Burner's Burning Questions - Week Three
It was a tough loss on Monday night, but it is time to focus on the Rams. Let's go to this week's questions.
1. It was a tough loss indeed. Can the team bounce back against the Rams?
Answer: I believe so. We'll find out what this team can do in the face of adversity.
2. Some have blamed Coach Haslett for poor playcalling on Dallas' final drive and others have blamed DeAngelo Hall. Who is to blame?
Answer: Both are to blame. The same blitz was called for several straight plays and that allowed Dallas to adjust. Hall needs to stay in coverage and not bite on the head fakes.
3. If it happens, how soon could we see John Beck at QB?
Answer: That all depends on Rex Grossman and his level of play. More time is needed to see if a true change is forthcoming, but the team and coaches shouldn't have knee-jerk reactions to just one game.
4. Ryan Kerrigan had a great September and was named Defensive Rookie of the Month in the NFL. Can we expect more of the same?
Answer: Absolutely. This young man is the real thing and he will build on his early success. Mr. Kerrigan is a serious threat to take home rookie honors on defense in this league.
5. Speaking of Ryan, Ryan Torain seems to be missing in action. What gives?
Answer: He has been surpassed on the depth chart. Tim Hightower has been a steady starter at RB and rookie Roy Helu has been solid in relief. That combination is keeping Torain on the sideline and time will tell if he will crack the lineup or ride the pine.
