Greetings to all and without any hesitations, let’s get right to the questions for this week.
1. Last week was flat out ugly. Is this downward spiral going to continue?
Answer: Yes, it was ugly and the day before Halloween was a cruel trick against the Redskins. If several players can return to form after healing from recent injuries, it is likely that there will be some improvement.
2. Speaking of improvement, how long will this rebuilding process take?
Answer: The word that you keep hearing is “patience”. Chris Cooley talked about it this week and reminded the fans of how important it is to be patient. His main point focused on not returning to impulsiveness, but staying with a sound plan. It was great advice for fans of the Redskins.
3. How many of the ten sacks were on John Beck last week?
Answer: Most of them. It was a pitiful performance. If Beck finds his stride this week and does a respectable job going forward, we can look at the Buffalo game as nothing more than a mulligan. Or it was an indication of things to come. Time will tell.
4. Homer McFanboy (Brian Murphy) suggested that giving up four first round draft picks would be worth it to acquire Andrew Luck. Is that reasonable?
Answer: In all honesty, that may be the case. However, let’s focus on the remainder of this season and do a much more accurate assessment of free agent/draft needs in a few weeks.
5. Is Mike Shanahan’s job still secure?
Answer: Yes. He will be given the full allotment of time on his contract. Ignore the erroneous reporting that suggests his job is in jeopardy.
That is all for this week. Enjoy the game.
Hail to the Redskins!
