"Men, this stuff that some sources sling around about Washington wanting out of this war, not wanting to fight, is a crock of bullshit. Redskins love to fight, traditionally. All real Redskins love the sting and clash of battle. You are here today for three reasons. First, because you are here to defend your team and your teammates. Second, you are here for your own self respect, because you would not want to be anywhere else. Third, you are here because you are real fans and all real fans like to fight. When you, here, everyone of you, were kids, you all admired the champion marble player, the fastest runner, the toughest boxer, the big league ball players, and the All-American football players. The Redskins love a winner. Washington will not tolerate a loser. Redskins despise cowards. Redskins play to win all of the time. I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a fan who lost and laughed. That's why Redskins have never lost nor will ever lose a war; for the very idea of losing is hateful to a Washington Redskin."
If you are my age (or close to 40) you fully understand what “Dallas Week” means. This isn’t a game; this isn’t just a week of some hype before Sunday. This is a preparation for the Thrilla in Manila, the night before storming the beaches of Normandy, Conan preparing for battle against Thulsa Doom. I have warned all of my friends, I have prepared everyone on social media for the upcoming storm, and my house is command central for this invasion. And with that said:
**** DALLAS!!
Yes, yes. Dallas is playing well right now. Romo isn’t turning the ball over much, Murray is running like a man possessed, and Bryant hasn’t beaten his mother in the past 6 months. Got it. But Doug Free just got hurt…there is a chink in the armor.
We are 12th against the rush and 8th against the pass.
Dallas is 17th against the rush and 13th against the pass.
We can stop their ONE running back by getting our DL and linebackers lined up to hit their gaps and contain like they need to. Murray has shown he will get frustrated if he is hit enough and doesn’t break off a big run. We can line Hatcher, Baker, Golston, Kerrigan, etc, up and stop him from getting those big gains.
The problem I see will be stopping Dez and Witten. We all know our linebackers have problems covering TEs and that our corners are in shambles. But hopefully Witten has slowed down a bit and If there was ever a week/game that Amerson needed to step up and perform it will be this week.
Contain Romo. Do the OPPOSITE of what we did against Seattle. Everyone pursue the QB in your lanes. Do NOT over pursue, do NOT crash down! Stay in your lane and work him for a sack. We all know that Romo likes to scramble and keep plays alive. Take him out!! Slam him on his suspect ass back and make him pay!!
On to us…..
Is Griffin back in time for the game? He is practicing and should be on the practice field this week. Does he have it in him both physically and pride wise to step up during Dallas Week and be our leader again? He has proven he can do it with one leg already but will Coach Gruden allow him to this year?
If called upon can Colt step in and play well enough for a win against a hated rival?
What about Morris? Is he really injured or just having a lull in the season? If he isn’t 100% do we let Helu come in and be the feature back he was originally drafted to be for this game?
DeSean looked amazing yesterday as always…but he was limping on the sidelines between those 2 great catches. Is he going to step up and dominate their subpar cornerbacks?
Will Garcon continue after his big play against the Titans?
How is Reed going to handle playing against these physical linebackers?
Is Paul going to go back to ST or will he step up as a TE?
CAN WE STOP FUMBLING THE ****ING BALL?!!! Morris…I am seriously looking at you! STOP FUMBLING!!
This is a game we can win. We know them as well as they know us. We have as many weapons at receiver and running back as they do and can do just as much damage. This is a divisional rival that we see 2 times a year; records don’t mean shit!
So, strap on your helmet, kiss your loved ones good bye. Because at 5PM PST on the 27th of October in the year 2014 you are going to war! Some of you may not survive this; some of you will. But after this week’s game we will know where each and every one of us stands!
"My fan friends don't surrender. I don't want to hear of any fan on my site being negative unless he has been hit. Even if you are hit, you can still fight back. That's not just bull shit either. The kind of man that I want in my living room is just like the fan at the tailgate, who, with a Cheek on a stick, yanked off his helmet, swept the beer aside with one hand, and busted the hell out of the Cowbum with his helmet. Then he jumped on the ball and went out and scored another touchdown before they knew what the hell was coming off. And, all of that time, this man had a shamble of a offensive line. There was a real man!"
Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for listening.
