Random Commanders Thoughts

Can’t wait!

The bull rush you see Kerrigan use in this is something I don't remember him having in years before, that I really noticed this past season. Maybe I missed it in the past, but I remember a good number of times commenting to myself that Kerrigan flat out carried a tackle into the pocket.

The crime here is the 3-4 was never properly conceptualized or populated with performers fit for their roles.

Teams like Pittsburgh and Baltimore know what they are doing in the draft and FA for the 3-4, the Redskins had no clue.

It’s about time players are schemed to their strengths and not a preset formula.

100%, that is the maddening thing about it was that we weren't even targeting players to fit the system we were running. Not only were we not scheming to fit the talent, we weren't targeting talent to fit the scheme. We were asking players to do things they weren't comfortable doing.

The last couple years we did line up in a 4-3 quite a bit, but even within those alignments, we were still misusing them to their strengths. Dropping Kerrigan into pass coverage against a TE like Ertz is not utilizing his strength. Dropping him into the flat in Zone with a CB playing Quarters is much better suited.

Apparently Baker pulled out a gun at a BBQ and Dunbar started collecting jewelry and cash.

I couldn't believe what I was reading. They make a lot of money and then they throw it all away. If this stuff is true, their NFL careers are over. Huge loss for the Giants.

Kyle Smith turned Dunbar into Keith Ismael. And he's likely to be a very good center for the Skins far into the future.

Redskins won that trade by a wide margin now.

Lawyers, guns, and money. The shit has hit the fan.

Hell I honestly forgot we had signed him. Definitely time to cut bait though

Could already have been posted - I was on travel for a few days. Heard yesterday that Dexter Manley is in the hospital seriously ill.

He didn’t impress me in NY. I think Sims will be a good PR, so even there Latimer would probably have been depth.

The kind of veteran WR this team needs is a guy with a history of catching the ball in the league.

Latimer wasn’t going to tutor McLaurin or Harmon on pass receiving in the NFL.

Hogan is 32 but on a one year deal could be helpful to a younger unit like we have.

Manley’s son Dexter II told the paper his dad “hasn’t gotten worse, but they’re worried about his breathing,” while someone else close to the family who spoke to Manley’s doctors said Manley is “stable and resting comfortably,” adding doctors said Manley “is a big strong guy and is not in imminent danger.”

That commentary last night was strange. Manley has had a 101-104 fever for days and is now in hospital with breathing problems but the doctors said he wasn’t critical???? 😳
