Which player deserves the award this season, and why?

Alfred Morris.

The determining factor for me was how many losses he contributed to. I can't really think of any severe mistakes by him that cost us any games. Him, Helu, and Darrell Young seem to be the only ones not costing us games.

Honorable mention to Hall though. He's been a stand up team mate and has turned himself into a solid, reliable corner as far as I'm concerned. I didn't think he could.

Agreed, he has been a very solid performer, and a very bright spot for this team. Especially given his success last year, I didnt expect him to keep that pace.

Hall would be a contender if the defense was better... when the defense is this bad, I cant really award anyone any type of "value."

Did I miss something? The competitive portion of the season is over.

Shanahan indicated he is not going to play younger guys, he is going to stick with his regulars.

So, what is going to change ?

Agree with the group on Morris.

He's productive, durable and keeps his mouth shut with the media.

I'm in for Morris. Teams knew fairly fast Griffin wasn't 100%, and have been able to key on Morris all year, and he's still getting the yardage.

I agree with Pete. Plus he had to deal with OC that gets away from running game and or we had to throw all the time to try and get back in the game.

No one. You don't celebrate anything in a season like this one.

Garcon is a freaking beast. He has really come in to his own.

It's hard to appreciate it given the current circumstances, but it's nice to see a free agent pickup like that actually work out. It's so incredibly rare for this team to get a guy and after the fact say - wow, he's better than we thought, and probably worth even more money...

Even on a bad team you have to recognize guys that overcome the negativity and perform like Morris and Garçon.

Those are the guys the next staff is going to keep.

I'd also throw Orakpo into the mix as someone who's upped their game considerably. Not team MVP but I've been impressed even though he didn't live up to the silly bluster about DMVP in pre-season. I know players are just trying to motivate themselves but I really hate smack talk before performance. I'm not a big fan of it after but at least then it's somewhat justified. That said he's been consistently blowing linemen up and harassing QB's and RB's for the last several games.

The fans who put up with this constant train wreck. ;)

at some point the good will erode away and the team will play in front of an empty upper deck and a half full lower bowl.

I remember my father talking about the popularity of the New York Giants in the 1950's and 1960's, but by the mid-1970's when the team was seemingly stuck to being a last place joke, fans stopped coming to games.

So far Snyder has tried everything but what will work.

He has hired coaches who want to run everything, from personnel and game day management to choosing the cheerleaders and what kind of drinks/ice cream are served in training camp. That failed.

He has hired rookie head coaches and teamed them with the likes of Vinny Cerrato as the personnel chief and once again the results were disastrous.

He needs to hire a veteran, experienced personnel man FIRST and then have HIM interview and hire a new head coach.

Hopefully, we get that this time around.
