Quarterback Robert Griffin III said he moved his knee brace beneath his uniform pants and his right sock during the course of the Washington Redskins’ season opener Monday night after the team was instructed to do so by a league representative.

I'd have doc Andrews contact the league, and get an exemption, as the brace isn't intended to be under cover, restricting the movement, which could cause an injury. If guys can get exemptions for those huge face masks, the brace should be a no brainer.
 
Medical equipment and devices specifically prescribed by MD's need not be messed with by NFL uniform rules. Ridiculous.
 
Not to mention Ray Lewis wore his bionic arm all last year without incident.

NFL says #RG3 can wear knee brace in or out of uniform pants; was "miscommunication" to tell him to cover it on Mon.
