I know there is still a little time left but overall, this year's ads were a huge disappointment. I have to say the only one I truly enjoyed was the John 3:16 ad, as disturbing as it was for me to see the guys so ignorant.

The thing that bothered me most is that too many ads you'd see the participants enjoying the injuries or demise of another character in the commercial. Not to mention the Tibet exploitation by Groupon.

Pepsi Max had a couple of decent ones. Bud Light, normally the better if not best, was poor! Hyundai is making huge push.

Like I said, just not that good this year.

I must have missed the John 3:16 one, not sure which one that is.

I enjoyed the VDubb commercial (that Henry posted earlier this week), the Doritos commercial where the grandfather comes back to life, the Pepsi Max commercial with the hot blonde jogger, and that was about it. You're right about them being weak sauce this year. Totally weak.

It seems that companies have just given up on trying to make awesome SUper Bowl commercials. They've sucked for a few years now

I think they still try Sarge, just they keep pushing the envelope and getting it wrong. They make lame attempts at humor.

I missed the John 3:16 one as well, but could have been on and our station played a local commercial.

It was late in the 3rd quarter.

Edit: Apparently the ad almost didn't make it into the lineup. Not sure why it ended up airing since it was originally scratched.

My thoughts from another thread...

As for the commercials? To all the companies who spent millions of dollars, I'd be glad to **** you for half the price.
