In case you're wondering where the subtitle "Independent Thinking" came from, there are two reasons I used it. One, I look for useful informative...

It's a damn shame that a late November game between the Cowboys and Redskins in our home stadium is meaningless from our standpoint and position in the standings.

My wife has decorated our home for Christmas. This is the time of year where the football watching is supposed to be a bit sweeter. It's depressing when your season has already been flushed down the toilet.

Here's to a renewal of hope in April...hopefully. :anonymous:

Look gang.. the Skins are playing for their season.. Expect nothing less than a complete balls to the wall effort from them. Also I think they're a lot more dangerous with Grossman at QB than they were with Beck. Grossman can heat up at any time and look like Joe Montana.. yes he can meltdown and look like Joe Kapp too.. but we Cowboy fans should be familiar with QBs who do that. The best thing in our favor is that they do not have a lot of playmakers on offense. Moss apparently isn't going to go this week. Gaffney is a solid receiver but not a game changer. Hankerson is a speed guy and a rook.. Can't go to sleep on him but he's not gonna kill ya if you pay attention. They simply do not have running game.. but they do have Ryan Torain, who was last seen trucking Ken Hamlin en route to an 80 yard TD to help us close out Texas Stadium with a loss to the Ravens. The Helu kid from Nebraska is dangerous as a receiver.. not much as a running threat. Not having Cooley-mouth has clearly hurt their offense.. but the local DC mediots are already calling this game "The Redskins' Super Bowl." Come out flat in this one and we WILL get run over just like we did in Philly.

Great post, even if made by a Cowboys fan. Nice job as always serv

And what Canadian Hog said. I know in today's NFL anything can happen, but the sad truth for me is that while I absolutely believe the Redskins could rise up some weekend (even this Sunday) and look like world-beaters in a given game, they aren't going to compete even for a wildcard this year.

It's wrong. But I am ambivalent as to whether the Redskins win another game this season. And while I have never voluntarily missed watching a Redskins game (and won't this year either), not caring if they win or not makes it damn tough to tune in. This season feels different than any other previous one to me. Even during bad years, I've had some hope we could somehow ignite and find a way into the offseason. Without a QB to speak of - it just feels like an utter impossibility. I think we'll have to luck to the future for joyous demolishment of the hated Cowboys. And I'm not pining for pyrrhic victories that just move us further down the draft board.

Lose away Redskins. It's good for you.

These two teams are trending in opposite directions. Dallas can now run AND throw and their defense is better.

Looks like a 30-7 type game unless the Redskins get lucky with turnovers.

That is certainly possible, BD. Of course it is also completely possible for the Romo rollercoaster to bottom out with him doing more good for the Skins than for the Cowboys.

Although having a real running game seems to have leveled out that rollercoaster a bit.

Well, if the Red Jesus has proved anything in the past, it's that he will abandon a good running attack for the sake of throwing when he doesn't have to.

Hopefully Rak and Kerrigan can plant Rhomo into the turf during one of them times this Sunday, and send what is sure to be a large group of Cowturd fans home with their ignorant heads buried up their ignorant assess.

Sadly, I don't think Ax is the first to use it. I have heard it on the local ESPN radio station here in Dallas already. Garrett is most often referred to as "Red J" by a number of the local talking heads but every once in a while one of them will use the "Red Jesus" handle.

No, I first heard it on 980 by Doc Walker, talking about Garrett when he was just the OC.
