Can't believe no one has started this thread yet, but...

I know there are great products out there that you absolutely love. Some of them, the rest of us haven't discovered yet.

I'll start.

I saw the small version of this (or more accurately, heard the small version of this while visiting my local Verizon store recently.

It's a Jawbone Jambox. They come in two sizes, small, and big :)

I was amazed that such great acoustics could come out of such a small package. Cooler still, they're wireless, so you can connect with any bluetooth device - PC, iPhone, iPad, etc... connection with the iPhone and iPad is automatic, but I had to buy a 'Nerd' USB antenna to get it to work on my laptop.

Sound is amazing. Comes with 'Live Audio' functionality which makes it sound like acts are kicking ass in your living room. Amazing device. Purchasing the big Jambox for my living room finally gave me the courage to get rid of my 30 year old Bose system. Love that in 10 seconds or less, I can crank up my iTunes playlist and have incredible sound.

Any Sennheiser headphones. Don't fall for the gimmicks of the $400 Sony/Bose/Etc. headphones at the big box places. Sure, they sound great, but they are extremely lacking in comfort. With Sennheiser, you get way more bang for your buck. Because they aren't a big name in these parts, and because they do almost zero advertising, most people have no idea what they are. Simply put, their $25 headphones are superior to the majority of the $100 headphones on the market. Not only can you wear them for hours with absolutely nothing but pure comfort, but your ears never sweat, they have true noise cancellation, most models come with cords that are excessively longer than you'll ever need, and the sound quality puts everything, even Bose, to total shame.

Because I've always been addicted to music, and I'm a total audiophile, my wife had me do a blind test based totally on sound quality at the store one time to see which ones I would buy if I wasn't looking at price and name brands. My first choice? A $90 pair of Sennheiser over the ear headphones. My second choice? The $347 Bose set. I bought the Sennheiser, because they were better. In price, in sound, in comfort. They blow everyone away.

This is a great idea for a thread. I have several awesome products. I'll start with this:

Aussie 3 minute miracle hair conditioner. Don't buy their shampoo, but the conditioner is world class, and affordable.

With it, you can condition your hair only a few times a month. It's awesome.

Err...I'm going to ignore the fact that McD5 recommended a conditioner on a football board, and move on to a product I love:

Tervis Tumblers. These things are awesome. Hot drinks, cold drinks, no condensation; they're awesome. Dishwasher safe and practically indestructible, I use them all the time. And of course they come Redskins-themed:

This thread needs more chainsaws, grenades and beer. It's currently reading like a women's magazine

All in good fun lol. It's just when you come into a thread like this on a football message board, and two of the first few recommendations are for a soothing sounds of the ocean and hair conditioner, it's like being in the twilight zone.

It would be like going into the music recommendation thread and it all being Lisa Loeb, Cranberries and Shania Twain.

I can't laugh too much though. I have done everything to try and get sleep through my insomnia. One thing I bought years ago was one of those fountain things that had the running water and forest sounds and stuff. It worked great to get me to sleep, but it turns out that listening to running water makes me wake up a dozen times to go to the bathroom

I was given one for Christmas. I would recommend them as well.

I'm of the belief that you buy good tools, take care of them and they last forever. I don't subscribe to cheap tools unless they are for single use projects. I am a makita fan for my cordless tools. Personally that is. This boat I'm working on has a pretty tight budget these days so I tried a black and decker drill at one of those home depot demo day things and decided to get it being that it was $100 cheaper than what I would have bought myself.

This little 12v lithium cordless drill cannot be killed. I thought a $50 cordless drill would be done in a month but I made 12 holes into 1" think fiberglass with an aluminum backing plate behind it @ 1/4". with this little bastard and it laughed at me. If I had too it probably would have done it again. Tough, light, awesome battery life and easy on the wallet.

Oh yeah, AND it came standard with 2 battteries and has the led light option .

Nice to see the rest of the world catching on. We've been getting Tervis tumblers for years, since before they were available in chain stores across the country. We'd get them every Spring during Spring Break when we'd go down to Venice, FL. They've got an outlet store between Venice and Sarasota and we always stop by. You can get just about any logo/design you want. I've got Redskins, Caps, Michigan State, etc.

What about simple things like Boudro's Butt Paste or my Swiss Army Knife.

LMAO its for swamp nuts John. You were in the Corps right? Then you might appreciate its value! I keep it on the same shelf as the Monkey Butt powder!

Boone, Om, Neo...I expect these items in the mail prior to training camp along with my press credentials for press conferences at Redskins' Park, all 10 home games and at least 2 away games...preferably, the Green Bay and Denver games. Thanks you very much!

:D

Hey EL I'd be interested in your recommendation for a starter DSLR? I enjoy taking nature shots and will probably do a little surf photography for friends and family when I can afford a mondo-lens. Budget is of some concern, I'm able to buy it for my business within reason so I can't get too crazy. Oh yeah I'll need a fisheye/wide angle for the yacht listings I would use it for since I'm gonna write it off. If you have any advice it'd be cool, if not no biggy.

I've had this set for about 4 years now, and it's never failed to do the job, day in, day out. I the course of a day, I can remove and reinstall 100 fasteners that hold on the body pannels of modern motorcycles. Makita LCT230W. Very light, fairly compact, and the led light automatically comes on when triggered. It came with two batteries, and normally make it through a day of work using only one, while the other sits in reserve. I switch them out each morning. Of course, my set isn't so white anymore.

I also use a digital microscope fairly often at work. At 51, the ol eyes just aint up to the task when working with tiny parts. I can print the images, which helps with problem customers. I'f you have a small child, for 50 bucks, you can have a blast while they learn about common things around the house and yard.

Another constant use item is my pocket knife. Over the years, I've likely had 40 or 50 pocket knives. Many of them high end stuff. Out of everything I own, this is the best constant carry knife I've ever owned. I use it all day long to cut strapping on crated bikes, cut cardboard, and dozens of other things during a normal day at work. It holds an edge like no other knife I own, and is at the ready in seconds.
