Nothing clinched, but the first time since 2007...

For the first time since the last time the skins made the playoffs, in 2007, we'll finish with a winning record.

Certainly not a statement anyone expected to be made going into the bye week. Especially with 1 game to go.

Cheers :)

A winning record is a good thing to clinch

The ESPN guys seemed dumbfounded to explain the Redskins at 9-6.

It's not that hard.

This game is about playmakers and in 2012 the Redskins added Griffin, Morris, Garcon and Forbath.

Those are the crucial skills positions on offense.

Last year this team was Grossman, Royster, Moss (at 32) and Gano.

this team filled some pretty huge holes but the biggest hole was at QB, Grossman is an elite QB IN FLASHES, he makes throws SOMETIMES that very few can make, however RG3 is an elite QB almost all the time, both athletically and mentally, this alone accounts for the vast improvement in this offence, add in a guy who simply fits the run schemee in morris and then a big play receiver, and its obvious we should be better than last year. we still have holes, we are just doing a better job at hiding them on offence.

You mean every single skill position has been upgraded? Yeah, that'd make us better on offense. :)

I think when Garcon is 100% next season you are going to see elite numbers, 1300 yards receiving and 10-12 tds, etc.

If Hankerson steps up and becomes truly consistent we could be set there.

Glad my cornhole wasn't the only thing this team clinched today!! Geez Louise. Never so happy to be so wrong about this team. Never imagined we'd be where we are. THis has just gotten real not just because we need to win to win the division... but if we were to lose the Pokes get in. Feels like the old days. Redskin Love and Cowboy Hatred back together again, finally.

Why do you discount Moss ?

He was a playmaker last year, and even this year, he's been a huge part of this offense, including crucial TD's that made the difference in wins and losses. His age means nothing. Just like Fletcher's age means nothing.

Moss is a secondary playmaker at 33. He thrives playing inside against an opponents' nickel corners and safeties. He is no longer a player that is going to be a consistent producer deep, that is the role that others have taken on.

But he has been quite effective in his new role.

BTW, I was not dissing Moss as I stated his age in parentheses in the above quote to show that he was transitioning role as a WR in the latter stages of his career.

Nobody's discounting Moss... He's awesome in his new role. When we had no other receivers he just wasn't enough.

Say what you want about our team. Its still a free country for now.

Enough with the Burgundy on Burgundy crime around here.

Geez, all of a sudden players that everyone wanted cut or waived in the preseason or first few games of the season are all of a sudden off limits for anything other than puckered lips..................

Oh blah blah Moss blah, give it a rest. Not only did we win (thank got I keep those nitroglycerine pills handy for games like this) but even Cooley caught a pass. Moss is more of a factor because 1 - he is healthy, 2- without Fred Davis (anybody remember him?) he is seeing more plays his way, and 3 - he is better than any other slot receiver we have.

Moss has amazing feet. He's made some tough grabs in the end zone alone the sideline
