McIntosh to the Saints?

This is an article from Mike Detillier, who is a Saints beat reporter I think. Anyway, interesting stuff.

WILL TRADES HIGHLIGHT 2010 DRAFT?

I wrote this back in December of 2009, but I am more confident than ever that we will see more trades involving players and draft choices in the next week than I have seen in the last 26 years I have scouted college players for the NFL.

Even as we are approaching draft day, we have seen more pre-draft trades than I can ever remember and players like quarterbacks Donovan McNabb, Brady Quinn, Seneca Wallace and Charlie Whitehurst, along with wide receivers Santonio Holmes, Brandon Marshall, Ted Ginn, Reggie Brown and Anquan Boldin, safety Kerry Rhodes and cornerbacks Antonio Cromartie, Chris Houston and Sheldon Brown, have been just some of the names moved before draft day via trades.

Expect those moves to continue, and for New Orleans Saints fans, watch what may occur in Washington with restricted free agent outside linebacker Rocky McIntosh.

During the 2006 draft, fans across the Saints landscape were excited as ever that they had drafted USC Heisman Trophy winning halfback Reggie Bush, but we were all waiting to see what else the Saints could get out of the 2006 draft class.

In the minutes leading up to the second round, a host of Saints officials were on the air with Bobby Hebert and I on WWL 870-AM. One of those officials told me right as the first round ended that the team was close to a deal to acquiring center Jeff Faine from the Cleveland Browns, and also that the team really wanted Miami (Fla.) linebacker Rocky McIntosh to be there when they picked in the second round.

Not to mention the fact that Gregg Williams is familiar with him.

Makes me wonder if a trade involving Rocky and Jamaal Brown could be in the works.
