JOINT STATEMENT FROM WASHINGTON REDSKINS
AND DALLAS COWBOYS

“We pursued our salary cap claim pursuant to the CBA and we respect and will abide by the arbitrator's decision to dismiss. We will continue to focus on our football teams and the 2012 season.”

Hmmm. Does that really mean what it says? Or does it mean this is now an issue to be handled outside of the scope of the league's internal processes?

I just cannot believe two guys like Jones and Snyder let this go.

Unbelievable. I'm so mad about this right now...they are letting this crap fly?? Unbelievable!

Yeah, no surprise there. We weren't going to fight that.

Even if we could.....the risks need to be taken into consideration.

And on a side note....chalk this up as another fail for the "insiders", not you BB, who first swore a compromise was imminent, and then have been claiming all day that we were going to fight it.

Seriously, less than 10% of their predictions prove to be correct.

Burgundy Burner hasn't logged in in 10 days - hope he's okay? That's like a month away for most cats.

I hope he is....I'm a fan.

I'm referring to the others....the same ones that said there was no way Fat Al was getting out of DC without paying money back, we were drafting Gabbert, Vincent Jackson to DC....etc.

I swear JLC was just as accurate.

This is now over. Snyder and Jones won't sue their partners. They'd be cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Exactly. Or the league.

As the saying goes

Revenge is a dish best served cold

Each win this season will taste sweeter and those over the G-Men will be savoured to the Max.

Well, if it is over, all those calling for Goodell's head can just pipe down - because this is not just a win for him, it validates him as the most powerful commissioner in sports whose decisions are final, unassailable, and the Word of God.

NFLPA is as much to blame as anyone. (Goodell, Mara, etc.)

I can't believe the danny let this go. I have to imagine he and Jerah will make the hick teams pay at the next revenue sharing meeting.

Exaggeration aside, thats what the owners voted for when they extended his contracts. Thats what the players allowed when they signed the new CBA.

So... they're getting what they voted for.

It sucks, but when the risks of suing are measured, a lawsuit was never even a remote possibility....not even for a split second.

$35 mill in lost cap?

The NBA all-star game just brought in $120 million to Orlando in three days.

What's a possible SB worth in the future? $800 million to DC?

How nice would Goodell have been to one of our players on a hit-to-the-helmet? How about an off the field incident? How about a drug possession?

How about trying to make trades with other owners that you are suing? Does the term blacklist ring a bell?

And the Gregg Williams debacle still continues. Anyone want to risk a future 1st round pick for this lawsuit that we would probably never win anyway.

The odds of John Beck making the Pro Bowl this year were 1,000,000 times higher than the odds of us ever filing suit against the league.

As suggested after the arbitrator ruled that the motion to dismiss would be considered, it has occurred. I know that Romberjo backed me up to a certain degree, but he had several scenarios - all of which wwere viable.

But it was over when the motion to dismiss was taken under under advisement and the teams knew it. The financial settlements were on the table, but that became moot the day of the hearing.

That's it. Nothing more to add other than to say it is over.

I'm about as close as I have ever been in my life to letting this league/game go.

Disheartened and disgusted at the same time.
