Griffin/Shanahan Pressers

Shanahan is on now, Griffin was on for 20 minutes and it just ended 10 minutes ago or so.

The takeaways I got from Griffin:
- He's doing well, working hard. Was taking snaps, running, throwing (with trainers)
- Next step is to work on burst running. Final step is working on cutting hard.
- For all the people concerned about the relationship between Griffin and Shanahan, there are no concerns. Both are 'on the same page', ready to go, expecting to do better this year
- Going into the surgery, they were unsure of whether or not the ACL needed repair. The ACL was repaired.

In general I was happy to hear him talk, glad to hear he's working.

Shanahan gave typical non-answers/coach speak, nothing new there. Expecting offense to be different next year, but would not elaborate, said they need to see how teams adjust.
 
Oh, Griffin just flat out handles himself well with the media. Just hearing him talk got me super excited for September.
 
Oh, also, Garcon had chest surgery. Josh Wilson had peck surgery.

Didn't catch any more on those.
 
Chest surgery? WTF? That does not sound like a simple procedure.
 
They didn't elaborate, or I didn't hear it if they did. He was out running around during practice.
 
Man I thought Garcon was surgery phobic. Wonder what it was for?
 
No idea. Not one reporter followed up.

Maybe if they weren't so busy asking the same stupid question about Griffin's knee they've been asking for 6 months someone would have caught it and followed up.

The media in this town is laughably bad.
 
Yay, good job Rich Campbell. That was the stuff of mysteries for a few hours.
 
I would have fixed the toe while he was strapped to the table, and out cold....
 
I think he was told that surgery vs rest/rehab was pretty much a washout for recovery chances (at the time)
 
I was thinking the same thing but you what?? Garçon was right.. Sort of... He was a major help down the stretch and if he had surgery he would've been out... Hope it healed though.... (fingers crossed)
