For those of us who were at the 2007 Wild Card Game

Beating the Seahawks would mean so to those of us Redskins Fans who went to the Redskin / Seahawks Wild Card Game in 2007 after Sean Taylor’s passing. It was a very hostile crowd that day and there were very inappropriate things said by Seahawks about Sean Taylor. I talked to Redskins Fans at the tailgate that said it was worse than Philly.

The Redskins have won 2 regular seasons in Seattle since that playoff game but it would be much more sweater if we beat them in the playoffs!

I recall a story of a kid of someone I knew being spit on and someone else being roughed up that game so you're absolutely right.

Never really liked Seattle even when they were in the AFC. Boring team, playoff chokers and the most God awful uniforms. I remember watching a Zorn quarterbacked game where the Seahawks lost to 51-0 to Dallas and I was actually rooting for Dallas to score another TD.

Clueless town. Clueless teams.

I recall many of the horrific accounts and have, since, held a very deep hatred for their fan base. Am I naive to think it's the entire fan base that's at fault? No. However, the vitriol targeting the memory of Sean Taylor was tolerated by their fan base, at least evidenced by the lack of self-policing. 2007 will be a reminder of the depths to which an obscure fan base is willing to go to achieve a twisted level of relevance.

Redskin fans have endured many years of boorish and violent behavior within our division. It's tolerated to a point. We understand it as crazed passion, fueled by a sense of security amid like-minded compatriots. We tolerate it, but barely...because we'd be hypocritical to think misguided members of our fan base are not guilty of expressing the same type of behavior.

But, there's a difference in the predictable behavior of Philly fans and what went down in Seattle in 2007. No fan base should tolerate the insensitivity that occurred. A line was breached; a shot was fired.

For me, this game is personal.

The thing that cracks me up about Seahwks Fans in prior to 2005 and the Super Bowl Run they could not sell out their stadium. Between 2000 and 2004 most Seahawks Games were blacked out. Shaun Alexenader had to get on TV and beg fans to show up to games.

I would like to dedicate this game to Elephant. That is all.
