I haven't watched it this year, only last year. I imagine it's better this year. It was free for directv customers to have on their receiver last week. I'll probably watch it this weekend since my dad has it.
It didn't lag severely behind real time any more than the radio broadcast does. The quality was good, but it's really dependent on your internet connection. I believe 720p HD requires at least a 2 Mbps connection.'
edit: btw, leaving dish was the best decision i've ever made. Dish is the cheaper product if you go with their bottom tier. Once you start going up in their packages you're paying more for less when compared to directv. so if you have their middle package (i think it's like american top 200 or something?) you're paying about the same as me, but you have to pay extra for: CSN, Versus, National Geographic, Discovery, etc. I get all those included...
but it all depends on which package you use. my boss has the lowest dish package and it's certainly cheap. but i have showtime, hbo, and the middle directv package, and to get the equivalent with Dish is extremely expensive.
plus i get AMC lol
