so far this massive bombshell consists of a couple losers who tried to outkick their coverage and date cheerleaders, you could argue they abused their power, if they were pressuring them for sex but according to the wapo story, santos didnt do that he simply asked them if they were romantically into him. did I miss something, is there another story with something worse out there? because I was led to believe this would be earthshattering and frankly its boring

You totally missed something.

15 women have come forward with allegations of sexual harrassment while working for the Redskins organization.

That in and of itself should be enough of a story. Would you be cool with it if it was your own wife or daughter?

Your attitude towards the seriousness of this issue does little other than perpetuate the problem that exists in regards to women in the Redskins workplace, or any workplace for that matter.

If the organization has the same response and reaction that you have shared here, we are truly doomed as a franchise.

At the end of the day, several women signed NDAs. Don't kid yourself into believing that there aren't other disgusting details about what really happens inside Redskins Park.

I'll wait until it ALL comes out. There may be something here, which wouldn't surprise me at all with the danny.

OR, there may be some female employees with grudges, who the owner of the Post ( who also owns Amazon, the company that just pulled all Skins merch) found and had talk to the paper he owns in another broadside against the danny.

I've seen both sides over the years, and while I will almost always lean towards "danny is a slime", I'll wait to see. Like I said, I've seen both sides, both in the military and the civilian world. Some women are actually harassed, and others join in the good ol boy banter and/or use their "ass ets" to move up in the world

I'm kinda feeling the same way. Don't get me wrong, nothing about this story is ok. It's disgusting behavior and it's inexcusable. But it's literally the lowest form of sexual harassment. When this story was hyped as biblical, earth shattering, shield splitting, and would force the team's sale and could bring the NFL to its knees, I expected something a lot bigger. This is a horrible story, but is miles short of living up to the hype. No sexual contact, no propositioning, literally just being told look hot so you can make us more money. Unless there's way more to this story, Dan is in no danger, heads aren't rolling, the NFL isn't being shaken to its core, nothing. This story will fade quicker than any scandal in NFL history, unless more comes out.

Guys, one of the young ladies said that a couple days after she started, she was approached by another young woman and was schooled on how things actually would be.. This is gross.

Beetlejuice, this isn't the lowest form of sexual harassment, this IS sexual harassment. The problem is that culture views harassment as ASSAULT and they're not the same thing. Harassment is defined as any action that leads someone to feel uncomfortable. It doesn't matter how you get there.

The bigger issue is that it was hyped so hard that the ultimate story fell short of expectation... that doesn't minimize what actually happened. I also have no doubt that worse things have happened, and probably are known about but can't be proven... hence no story. The NFL is investigating now, so we will get a true idea of what the NFL thinks of this.

how do you decide what is low and what is high for sexual harassment? That is a really weird statement to make.

you ask cheerleaders to "show people a good time" ask them to pose topless for shoots, and then the 15 cases. You call that low?

If you said something like that in a work environment you would probably be terminated. In the least you would be written up and forced to take courses regarding it.

You're skewing the context of what I said. I don't think you're doing it to incite anything, but your response doesn't really fit with what I actually said. The cheerleading scandal wasn't part of this story, so responding with that has no correlation to my response in regards to this story. Which is the main point of my comment - not that the behavior isn't awful, because it is, just that the hype didn't match the story.

You responded like I implied this was no big deal, and I absolutely didn't say that. It's disgusting behavior, and everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves, publicly chastised, and lose their career over it. I can't be any more clear about that, it's disgusting and appalling behavior, and it's inexcusable.

My statement wasn't downplaying what happened. It was downplaying the upsell by the Washington Post. Asking a woman to dress sexier to attract more money from clients such as investors, sponsors, etc. is not ok. However, it isn't in the realm of Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, or Bill Cosby behavior. People acting like it is, well that's just weird. They're both horrible, but one is clearly way more severe than the other. Also, nobody said they were propositioned, nobody said they were offered more for doing certain things, and that's why I said this is the lowest form of sexual harassment. They were asked to dress sexier. They weren't told hey, you have great tits, you should probably show them off, and expose some areola if you could. Or hey honey, let that ass hang out the bottom of your skirt and jiggle it every chance you get.

When I was a corrections officer I was a state employee, and we had rigorous training on this issue. A coworker did this all the time, and we all gave him hell for it. It name was harry, so we all knew him as Dirty Harry. Eventually he was given a talking to and had to take a 4 hour sensitivity course. Maybe these slaps on the wrist for such behavior are a huge part of the problem. But to call this biblical, earth shattering, shield splitting, etc is a reach. A massive reach. Unless a lot more comes out, this will not remove Snyder, we could only dream. It also won't bring down the NFL, like a few reporters claimed was possible leading up to the big reveal.

There is already a thread on this.
