We've met Tony Wyllie—the Washington Redskins' deeply stupid, duplicitous shitbag of a PR flack—around these parts before. He's the man who once compared Dan Snyder's ridiculous libel suit against Dave McKenna to the plight of Egyptian protestors in Tahrir Square. He's also the guy who threatened to sue a a radio station for daring to make fun of the Skins. Unsurprisingly....

What is it about this FO that just attracts D-bags?

Sigh. Just... sigh.

I have no idea if it is true or not. But sadly I have no trouble believing that it MIGHT be true.

It might be true, but Deadspin is equally despicable for the shit they publish and try to pass off as 'journalism'. Thanks for sharing the sunshine as usual McD5 :)

I've had a run in with him before and he was nothing but pleasant to deal with.

I generally think the team should rise above pettiness when it comes to stuff like this. Pulling folks credentials when they don't say positive things about you is pretty petty and short-sighted. But I also get the urge. These reporters wouldn't have jobs if it weren't for NFL franchises, and honestly, many of them act like spoiled, entitled little kids. Wyllie may not be the greatest human being and may have earned some negative coverage (I really don't know), but that Deadspin article borders on character assassination.I don't think there's anything that justifies the kind of nasty personal attacks they are engaging in.

Snyder did it to the post when he first bought the team and he's still paying for it now; and likely always will.

It's shamefully laughable that we'd go about the same tactic knowing what the results are.
