Cheers and Jeers

I think all the rooks did very well for their first game. Kerrigan has one speed, "Go fast". I'm so happy to see a draft pick work out.

Williams and Doughty get the jeers this week. Dougherty is what he is and I think we've known that for awhile. More concerning is our "anchor" LT. He looked like a rookie out there and was the direct cause of more than one hurry/sack on Grossman. Don't know what's going on, but he needs to step up

I couldn't agree more. Williams got punked all day. Instead of a raging silver back, we got bed time for bonzo....

Cheers for Rex Grossman.

Jeers for Gano.

To add to the negatives, how many bad snaps were there tonight? Gotta get that under control.

To add to the cheers, WRs look nice as a group. Lots of depth there. Thought Armstrong was a little cold tonight, but Gaffney and Moss more than picked up the slack. And it only took one punt before the Giants decided not to punt to Banks. I take back my desire to have him cut. :)

I don't know... I've seen a few rookie LT's play better than silverhack looked today, not limited to our last long-term LT.

Cheers to Chris Neild.

Jeers to fans not staying silent during the moment of silence request.

Cheers to the defense which didnt fold or give up any points in the second half

Good points Sarge. Do they show the games at the car wash now?

Jeers have to go to OL and Gano.

Cheers to the D for stepping up after halftime. Also our first and last pick. Kerrigan for a great play and Chris Nield for having 2 sacks as a 7th round pick.

Also a cheer for Fred Davis and his first 100 yard receiving day.

Cheers to Sav Rocca. He pinned the Giants deep several times.

cheers

- to the guy who sang the National Anthem at the Bears game. Had me shedding a tear or two.

- to the coaching staff and FO for turning things around

- to the Skins for ending the opening day trend against the Gints

- to RG for a 300 yd+ game (ouch did someone just pull my teeth)

- to hightower. he looked in charge! anyone know if Torrain was active for game?

- to the Defense in the second half. quite a turn-around from the first half

- to Fred Davis for the best game of his career

- to using three tight end sets

- to the punting & coverage

- to scoring in the Red Zone (nice passes Rex)

Jeers
- to Trents pass blocking the whole game

- to Jamal's pass blocking in the first half

- to the interior lines pass blocking the whole game

- to dropped passes

- to Gano having a pronounced right drift on his field goal attempt and pt after TD kicks

How about that one kick off that the giants ended up falling on at like the 6 yard line

Cheers - Bruce Allen. For a week at least, he's looking like a genius - Neild, Kerrigan, and trading McNabb (7-15, 39 yds., 1 INT) :clap2:

Jeers - Anthony Armstrong. Maybe I'm being overly critical, but I thought his drops were inexusable. Especially considering that the team is depending on him to become a reliable 2nd receiver/deep threat. He really needs to take that next step and show that he can be a go-to guy within this offense.

Cheers to our ST for not being the ones called for illegal block in the back.

Tons of cheers to go around. Just too many to list. I believe Kyle Shanahan and Haslett deserve some big praise. Both really had their players playing at a tremendously high level today.

Our offense, for the fist time in over ten years, actually looks dangerous. Even under Gibbs 2, our offense was never dangerous.
