First off, I would like to offer my personal thanks, and that of the whole staff here at BGO, to all our Blognosticators for 2012. Our goal is to have the most high quality member content of any sports team's fan site on the web and this program is a huge part of that. The 16 men and women who participate in this every year all do a great job in making that part of the BGO ownership team's vision for this site come true week in and week out.
So, without further ado, it is with great pleasure, if just slightly tardy, that I announce to you that the winner of the 2012 Blognostication contest is China!
China did his best Amazing Keskin for the Week 7 match-up with the Giants in the Meadowlands when he predicted a close game that the Giants would win 27-24 on a late Eli Manning comeback facilitated by our porous defense. Frankly, it was pretty disturbing how close he got with this Blognostication as about the only thing he missed was the final score (actually score was 27-23).
Congratulations China!
For being the winner of the 2012 competition he earns the title of Chief Blognosticator 2012 and will proudly (we hope) sport the Chief Blognosticator Avatar for this year. He also gets to be the lead off Blognosticator for this season, earning the right to author the write up for the first game against the Chip Kelly lead Philadelphia Eagles.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention that China just nipped our lead off writer last year, Lanky Livingston, for the win. Lanky did an amazing write up on the Saints game, on short notice, in a year where no one knew what to expect of the Skins or the Saints. Great job Lanky.
