13th Annual BGO Ballers Fantasy Football League ***Neophyte Champion***

Welcome to the 13th annual BGO Ballers Fantasy Football League. Are you ready to see who knows the most about building a football team week in and week out? I know I am. This is your chance to prove you are the best fake football GM on this board. The contest is free and it's open to everyone. The more the merrier! We will divide into as many leagues as needed to accommodate all players, so sign up today.

We will use Yahoo as we have in the past and use the same scoring rules as before, with one minor change. Instead of the IR spots we used the past few years, we will just add 1 extra bench spot to help navigate injuries and any illness related absences:

1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 DST, 1 K

We want you to play. Whether you are a novice or an expert. Whether it's your 1st year or your 13th. We want you to play in this league.

To summarize:
You get to put your football team building ideas into action
You won't be worse at Fantasy Football than Bruce Allen was as the GM of a real team
You get to have camaraderie with the other members on this board
You get to have lots of fun
It costs you nothing but a few minutes each week

Once we get the list of everyone who wants to play, we will look for the best day to draft. It will most likely be sometime between August 27th and September 6th. The 6th will be the last possible day as the season starts the 8th. Anything earlier than the end of August and we have to deal with preseason games and possible injuries. So I like to wait as long as possible as well as give anyone who wants to play a chance to signup.

I just talked to my nephew who is registered as ZeroAnd16 and he is back, so that gives us 10.

I’m going to leave the signup open through the weekend. At that point we will need to pick a draft date and get everything setup. So if anyone else is interested in playing, please let me know ASAP by indicating your interest in this thread.

We are glad you are back again this year. You make the 5th former champion playing this year. It should be another great year.

We have passed the deadline and our league is now locked. We are still waiting for Posse Lover to sign up for the league. Everyone else, you are good as you played last year. You can go to the league website and validate you see your team in the league.

We need to set a date for the draft. We also need to set the order. I normally let the tool generate the draft order, but we need everyone to signup. I’ll try to make sure we have an order at least a week before the draft (if possible). I can use other online tools to get a random order if need be.

Here are the possibilities for draft dates.

Tuesday 8/30 after 8pm
Wednesday 8/31 after 8pm
Monday 9/5 - Labor Day so we can pick an earlier time if people agree
Tuesday 9/6 after 8 pm

Those are 4 potential dates. I need everyone to respond indicating which dates work. We want everyone to participate in the draft live. But we know schedules can be tough for people. So please indicate your preference and if there are any days you can’t draft.

We record out pods on Wednesday nights so that won’t work for a couple of us. I can do any of the others.

I'm probably letting it go on auto draft this year after last years debacle I made for myself

I am good for any date except Sept. 6 on that list.

I'm traveling for work the last week of August and will be on the West Coast so 8/30 and 31 would be rough. However, if those are the only dates that work or others then I am fine with letting Auto Draft handle my roster. Don't let my work schedule determine anything.
