Not sure why, but body-switch movies are still being made by Hollywood. The Change-Up is coming out soon (way too disinterested to get you an actual date, sorry), and has two of my favorite actors, Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds. It will take buzz like that which Up in the Air created a couple of years ago for me to even remotely contemplate renting this (If I were playing Oddsmakers on this happening, I would put it at a -290000% chance)
Why is Hollywood still making these. Wasn't Chandler in one a couple of years ago? And Jennifer Garner in a different one maybe? Ugh. Just stop already.
Having said that, I feel like I have switched places with an Eagles fan. I feel like coming with new and exciting vulgarities to swear at little children, flinging my own poo, and just generally being a constant reminder to society that safe sex is the way to go.
Why would I be feeling this way you might ask? It seems like the Redskins and Eagles have switched front offices. The Eagles made a trade for a very good CB in Dominique (not-Wilkins) Rodgers-Cromartie. On top of having Asante Samuel. Then Signed Nnamdi nowayinhellicanspellhislastname to a big deal. Then added Cullen Jenkins. Then Vince Young. I'm waiting for them to add a big name high priced safety, to complete the Deion, Bruce Smith, Jeff George, Mark Carrier comparison.
And the Redskins? Well, we had 12 draft picks in the April draft. Our big signing appears to be... uh, who exactly? Stephen Bowen? Josh Wilson? So, um, yeah. As others have said, clearly Shanahan isn't embracing a win-now approach. Could it be he is *gasp* taking a page from the Eagles' front office from years past? Going with youth? Eschewing the big names?
It's been fun having the following conversation with Eagles fans friends over the last 12+ years:
Me: Ha! We got (fill in the blank big name free agent)! You guys couldn't get him!
Eagles Fan (hereafter abbreviated scum): Whatever. We are going to employ some sort of strange moral high ground and tell you that our FO may have wanted said player, but chose not to overpay for him. Our FO is smarter than yours.
Me: Whatever, we got the best FA out there, and he is going to make us better! Championship! (for you, Lanky)
Scum: I guess we'll see at the end of the year.
Well, you know how that argument went at the end of the year. Far more often than not, they had the last laugh.

But now, the Front Offices have switched mentalities. (Hopefully not bodies - who would want the walrus's body - good God) The Eagles are going after every big name player out there, trying to win-now. The Skins are growing organically, slowly, with a real youth movement.
The roles are reversed! And this is oneBodyMentality-Change movie I may actually want to see.
