Burner's Burning Questions - Week Six

Burner's Burning Questions - Week Six

Another game and another victory. Let's hope this ride continues on. Time to take a look at the questions for this week.

1. You are becoming a good luck charm for the Redskins. Keep picking against them. Does our team have any chance against Peyton Manning and the Colts?

Answer: Yes, they have every chance and it is much better than a couple of weeks ago it seems. Take the blueprint from the close games and be there when it counts. That seems to be a way of life for the Redskins these days. However, to beat Manning, the defense will need to play their best game of the season thus far.

2. The running game is all but dormant. Can we expect better days from Ryan Torain and Keiland Williams?

Answer: We can be hopeful. For now, the passing game is solid and it should afford the running game some opportunities, but Torain and Williams need to take advantage of these situations. For now, let's consider this to be a work in progress.

3. How long can the Redskins continue to win and play solid football for one half or one quarter only?

Answer: I would say that the team is playing just good enough and explodes at the right time(s). Obviously, this can't become a pattern and hope for success each week. The staff and players are well aware of the problem(s) and you can be sure that these concerns are being addressed.

4. It was sad to hear of Albert Haynesworth's brother. Prayers for him, his family, loved ones, and friends.

Answer: Agreed.

5. Brian Orakpo is a force as a hybrid LB/DE. It seems like there are many times in a game when holding against him is not called. Will that change?

Answer: There is one person who can possibly make a difference as to whether a holding call is made or ignored - Coach Shanahan. He can be a bit on the vocal side (to referees) at least once each half in a game. It may help to a certain degree, but one can only hope that fairness becomes the norm in these situations.

That's all for now. See you for week seven and more questions. And yes, the prediction.
Colts 26 Redskins 23. Ugh.
