  1. Random Redskins Thoughts

    'e turned me into a newt!...I got better...maybe not...
  2. Redskins 2018 Schedule

I'm pretty sure you live in Lakewood and not Lskewood :uhoh: I only noticed because I'm in Everett. Never liked those early byes but I expect a lot of new faces on the field this season so if things are a little slow getting in sync might be a silver lining to it. The division games are...
  3. Free Agency, Mock Drafts, Camps, Roster Predictions, 2018

Nyheim Hines, N.C. State, for a return/RB in the 5th (provided he drops that far and probably will not) maybe but if the Skins stay at their current picks and if they take an RB in those 3 picks before the 5th they'd probably have to pass. Not the greatest receiver and somewhat on the small side...
  4. Skins Exercise Scherff’s Fifth Year Option

$12.5M Exercised option is a huge incentive for the Skins to work out an extension for him. Bergstrom - don't know what his contract is but probably vet min (like $790k) and cap hit about $630k. Doesn't mean he makes the team but pretty cheap to keep around depending on the draft or how camp...
  5. Skins Re-Sign DL Phil Taylor

Hankins is visiting the Jets. They've got about $9M more cap space and more signed players than Washington so if it comes to throwing money around, Jets have an advantage. That said, he may just be wanting way more than anybody is willing to pay him - else he'd been signed by now. Hasn't signed...
  6. Skins Re-Sign DL Phil Taylor

Per Over The Cap; link: https://overthecap.com/player/phillip-taylor/300/ Vet min: $790K with a $630K cap hit. No guarantees, no bonuses.
  7. Is "Redskin" offensive?

Duel accepted. So I get to chose the weapon, right? Pointy Spears @ 50 paces! :swordfight: (well, no smiley spears but...) :joker:
  8. Is "Redskin" offensive?

    Cowboys... Now THAT'S offensive...
  9. Skins Re-Sign DL Phil Taylor

Considering the Skins signings so far, I don't see Taylor being penciled in as the starting NT. Pencil him to the 90 man roster - that's it. Agreed, never did much to get a NT. Putting in DL who barely tip the scales at 300 because you need a Nose doesn't make them NT's. Hood & Ioannidis...
  10. Hankins Signed...

What!? So now it goes to Facebook instead I guess... not seeing an improvement here... :nana:
  11. Free Agency, Mock Drafts, Camps, Roster Predictions, 2018

...maybe saving some room for more ex-cowboys...
  12. Skins Sign LB Pernell McPhee

I'm glad the Skins are setting a limit on how much they're willing to spend on any particular player. Just because you have the cash to spend doesn't mean you have to spend it. Sometimes this turns into, 'Hey, we woulda/coulda/shoulda signed this guy' (like possibly Hankins) if he signs...
  13. Skins Sign LB Pernell McPhee

McPhee pretty much an outside guy but maybe they can move him around kinda like they did with Jackson. Foster & Brown with both on the inside might be interesting. Between the 2, Foster much better against the pass & Brown much better against the run.
  14. Free Agency, Mock Drafts, Camps, Roster Predictions, 2018

On Doctson, he does have to get his catch percentage up but he averaged 4 targets a game through the first 14 games then 12 a game in his last 2. As far as jump balls go - maybe fewer jump balls if the QB throws past him and lets him make a play on the ball where a DB has to go through him, not...
  15. Skins Sign LB Pernell McPhee

Salary details, per Spotrac: link: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/washington-redskins/pernell-mcphee-7884/ $950K salary/$350k signing bonus/$406,250 roster bonus/+ $31,250 per game active bonus ($500k for 16 games). So a max (based on 16 games played) is a shade over $2.2m. The most they'd be out...
