Yeah, I know. It's been a while. But let's be honest: the last two years haven't been much fun for Redskins fans. 2012 was ah-mazing; I've already started to repress 2013 and 14. Anyhow, it's the start of the 2015 season, and I'm sure this will get lost in the shuffle of our first gameday of the season, but I want to get something off my chest.
Two something's, actually.

Remember Robert Horry? Dude won like 20 titles (all numbers approximate) in the NBA with the Lakers and Spurs, and always seemed to hit a key three or two during a playoff run.Horry had a knack for being in the right place at the right time, and being able to step up and deliver when it mattered the most.
Here's hoping Robert Griffin can deliver when it matters the most.

Anyone remember when Matthew Stafford was injury-prone? Could stay healthy? In his first two seasons he played 10 and three games, respectively. In the season opener in 2010 he injured his shoulder, came back on Halloween to beat... the Redskins (sigh), then reinjured that shoulder a week later and was done. He had arthroscopic surgery done on his throwing shoulder and was done until the next year. All the media experts were wringing their hands that this talented kid was injury ...by Published on 10-01-14 10:02 PM Number of Views: 241
No, I'm not predicting some massive crisis for the NFL whereby the tens of millions of rabid fans who devour the NFL each Sunday (and Thursday) suddenly decide to divest themselves of the spectacle in pursuit of other, more moral endeavors. No, I'm talking about something far more serious. My own personal tipping point. I think we're getting close to it.

I have stayed out of the Redskins name controversy because I am conflicted about it. However, after hearing Daniel Snyder give an interview, and listening to the subsequent talking heads reaction to said interview, I feel compelled to join the discussion. For once, I thought Mr. Snyder nailed it. Absolutely perfectly....
(my one quibble would be the timing. Just as training camp starts and we all start to focus on the on-the-field action instead of the name controversyby Published on 04-02-14 10:54 AM Number of Views: 296
Dear DeSean,
You'll have to forgive some of us. For every one Redskins fan excitedly jumping up and down this morning upon hearing the news of your signing, there is another fan, like myself, huddled in the fetal position in the corner. We've been hurt before, you see. In fact, I was at the Y this morning, sporting one of Skins workout shirts, and was accosted by a fellow weight-loser about the soundness of this signing. She asked me about all the other high priced stars the team has ...BGO Twitter Feed
