Oh im sure that some people will say " well apparently he was limited in practice friday so shannahan benched him and thats good" but to me it says Shannahan is still letting his personal bs affect important decisions.

there is no way if im haynesworth that i stay on this team next season and whit AH gone the pressure to make the right decision in regards to this 3-4 stupidity will lessen, so Kudos Mike, well played.

I knew you were going to post on this!

And I agree. I'm really divided on Shanahan. He's at the front end so judgment should be reserved until he has talent on hand. but....as with McNabb....he periodically demonstrates an ability for what can only be described as "dumb ass" moves. Per your point...he created this problem on defense. Per my perspective......his ego gets in the way and creates distractions when they aren't needed or even involve primary matters.

Agreed. Practice is over-rated. Shanny should just let the players decide when & if they want to practice.

sarcasm duly noted.

too bad then..that there is no accountability for a coaching staff that is so inept as demonstrated by the product it fields.

Little Shanny & Haslett to the inactive list? Couldn't hurt. :)

the whole coaching staff. All the SBs and this is what we get? zero to no improvement over last season's debacle.

I'm willing to give the coaches a bit of time. Although the McNabb thing and now Butterworth issues are giving me pause. But it's obvious that danny and Vinny has ****ed this team for a few years to come.

You sound like Obama.

so Heyer who is arguably the worst OL in the entire league can play but Haynesworth who can stop the run cant because.....?

He didn't practice this week, and got in the coaches face when told he would be inactive......

We don't have much of a choice but to play Heyer

I find it funny that people think they can acquire enough knowledge through media outlets such as ESPN and Fox to make a logical decision on whether or not AH should play or be inactive or who was right or wrong in this situation.

Here is what im hopeing for they trade him to To a team said team next offseason switches to 3-4 will he cry about it?

Yes, he is disruptive when he is playing Mike, but we do not know the interactions between him and the coaching staff during the week. He could be the biggest jerk to them, and they are screwing him back....we do not know.

It is not fair to damn Shannahan when we do not know the specifics of the situation. If I am a coach, I am sure as hell not putting in a guy that works half as hard as everyone else in practice just because he has more physical talent (I am not saying that Al is giving less effort in practice, just an example).

In fact, I would make him an example of what you do to players that do not give 100%.

There are so many rumors out there it is hard to believe them all. I will say this, I tend to gravitate toward the man that has more experience in the NFL and one that has been known to stay out of trouble. Sometimes you get burned thinking like this, but most of the time you are right.

This all boils down to the management style of the coaching staff and the fans who approve or disapprove of how he was handled.

If you are the type who doesn't care much about character and are willing to allow a person to do whatever they want as long as they produce, you are likely going to disapprove of the tactics the coaches are using with Al.

If you are the type that demands discipline within your work environment with a willingness to get rid of individuals who want to do things their own way regardless of their production in favor of team players, you are likley in favor of the way Shanahan has handled Al.

I think it is time to cut ties with Albert Haynesworth. It appeared his attitude had changed when his brother passed, but given the overall history of the situation and what may have occurred today, it is time to cut ties. And I was one in favor of keeping him when I though I saw a change.

Well, if i owned the team i would nip this crap in the bud right now. I was hoping HW would shape up and develop a better relationship with the Shanahan and help this team out, but it looks like that is never going to happen.

I would do the samething that the Patriots and Vikings did with Moss.

Problem with treating him like the Pats did Moss is that you have to find a trade partner. That is extremely hard when you have a guy that rarely sees the field. It was easy for the Pats to get rid of Moss because Brady is great at spreading the ball around, plus they got more than they gave up for him. I believe he was a luxury for that team.

Haynesworth is not a luxury for the Skins. I believe we will get rid of him this off season, but, we will not get what he should be worth. I have a feeling it will be a mid to late round pick.

Also, I agree with Elephant about character.

Yea, i agree, but when i look at this from the beginning this is another one of Snyder's bonehead idea's. It was well known that this guy could be a big problem and we shouldn't even have considered this guy in the first place.

But i agree, we got get something out of this situation.
