CBS Sports - TO: Epic Numbers, but far from Canton material

This sums up what I think about T.O. and I'm happy someone else was able to put those thoughts together in a meaningful way - because I have a hard time doing that.

The references to fantasy football are spot on as well. I feel like more and more people I meet are clueless when it comes to football and only think of any of it in terms of fantasy football. There's so much more to it than that...

If crackhead Mike Irvin got in, T.O. is a first-ballot guy. Hate to say it, but its true.

First: let me say I don't expect many people to agree with me. In fact, I know most don't.

If crackhead Mike Irvin got in, T.O. is a first-ballot guy. Hate to say it, but its true.

I disagree. While I have a problem with Irvin getting in because he was a crackhead, i at least respect the HOF Voter's decisions that those sort of personal issues that have nothing to do with football shouldn't take away from someone's football accomplishments.

TO's problems were directly related to football and had a direct impact on the success of the teams he was playing on; and in a negative way.

There is a huge difference between the two -although I have a problem with irvin being in there as well.

As we deal with more players who created head aches for their multiple teams yet posted unbelievable numbers...i.e. T. O. and Randy Moss, will their distraction/disruption be a measurement when considered for the Hall?

I believe that a player who jumps from one team or another should automatically be given less consideration. I am not talking about a player who plays for 2 teams in their career...or in some cases even 3. But if they've played for 6 or 7 teams like T.O....that should be factored in.

Now, having said that, I believe Randy Moss is a first ballot Hall of Famer.
