So, if you don't feel like reading a long article on the draft, here's a quick summary via anecdote:
I had to call my former employers the other day for some information and wound up talking to a former co-worker who follows the 'Skins. He asked me what I thought of the draft (back then I was doing the Redskins media/blogging thing for my own site IIWII and Son of Washington) and I told him "They knocked it out of the Park!"

I'm not going to do a standard ...

Senior Vice President of Player Personnel Doug Williams

      Opening statement:
“Well, one thing, I’m glad it’s over with and now we can watch the guys get in shape for the upcoming year. We do feel good about our draft, but as you know, we still have got to put the pads on and we have got to watch them play. It takes a little time to really evaluate where they really are and that’s what we’re going to do.”

On the team’s mission for the draft and if they accomplished that mission:
“There are still some guys out there that we would have loved to have had, but because of the situation we were in, the place that we were in, the guys that we wanted and where we wanted them were either gone or weren’t there when we got there. So, really ...

      Head Coach Jay Gruden

On if DL Tim Settle was too good of a value to pass up:
"That's what it boils down to, really. He was highly ranked on our board and he was still there and, you know, a lot of times you want to go by all the work you put in in the offseason. Scouts put a lot of work in. Kyle Smith did a great job and the rest of the scouts, so he's another big body that can rush the passer a little bit and he's really good against a run. So, I’ve said it before, you can never have too many big bodies. He's a talented kid to add to the mix with the other guys that we have here. I think he'll be good."

On if drafting seven players from “Power Five” schools was strategic or coincidental:
"That's how it worked out. I think those guys may have a leg up. If it's close between them and maybe a smaller school guy, then you might err on that side because they've played against great competition, but that's not always the case. It just so happened to be tonight."

      On S Troy Apke:
"I think he improved as the season went on, I think he's a very good safety. He's got great range. You've seen him fill in run support and I think he's going to get better and better. I think the sky's the limit for him as a player. You know, anybody who can run 4.3 – whatever it is, 4.32, I think it was? Short shuttle, I think he's right around 4.0. He's still learning the position. He takes good angles to the football and he's not afraid. And he's great on special teams, so it was a win-win not only as a safety but as a special ...

      Introductory Press Conference:
DL Da’Ron Payne and RB Derrius Guice

      Opening statements:
PAYNE: “First off, I just want to say I'm excited to be here and I'm glad to be a part of the organization and I'm just ready to get after it with my boys.”

GUICE: “I want to also start off by saying I'm blessed to be here, I thank God for this opportunity and I thank the owner, the GM, as well as Bruce [Allen] for bringing me here and it's going to be an exciting year.”

On taking their pre-draft visit with the Redskins together and if they envisioned being able to play together:
PAYNE: “I don’t know. I didn't expect us to be here together playing, so I guess we could say that was just a little fun experience.”

GUICE: “To echo off what he said, we both didn't expect to be here ...
