      · The Redskins registered three takeaways and have now forced three turnovers in consecutive games for the first time since Weeks 12-13 last season.

      · Including a plus-one margin against the Jets, the Redskins have now posted a positive turnover margin in three consecutive games for the first time since doing so in four straight contests across Weeks14-17 of the 2012 season.

      · The Redskins have now recorded multiple takeaways for a third consecutive game for the first time since Weeks 15-17 of the 2013 season.

      · Breeland joined the Jets’ Darrelle Revis (Week 2 at Indianapolis) as the only players this season to record two fumble recoveries and an interception in a single game.

      · Breeland has now recorded interceptions in consecutive games for the first time in his career and became the first member of the Redskins to do so since London Fletcher intercepted a pass in three straight games across Weeks 14-16 of the 2012 season.

      · In five games this season since missing Week 1, Breeland has already matched his career-high output for interceptions in a season from a year ago (two).

      · Breeland is the first member of the Redskins since at least 2000 to recover two opponent fumbles and intercept a pass in the same game.

      · Breeland became the first member of the Redskins to recover two opponent fumbles in a single game since LaVar Arrington on Dec. 29, 2002 vs. Dallas.

      · On the Jets’ first play from scrimmage, rookie defensive back Kyshoen Jarrett forced the first fumble of his career. On the play, Breeland recorded the first fumble recovery of his career.

      · The Redskins have now held opponents scoreless on opening drives in each of the first six games this season. The Redskins entered the game as one of only four NFL teams to have not allowed any opening drive points through the first five weeks of the 2015 season (Chicago, Denver and Indianapolis).

      · The Redskins have now held opponents scoreless on their opening possessions in six consecutive games for the first time since Weeks 6-12 of the 2008 season.

      · Including an interception at Atlanta last week, the Redskins have now recorded takeaways on their opponents’ first possession in consecutive regular season games for the first time since the final game of the 2012 season vs. Dallas and the opening game of the 2013 season vs. Philadelphia. It marks the first time the Redskins have done so in consecutive games in a single season since Weeks 14-15 of the 2005 season (at Arizona and vs. Dallas).

      · The Redskins opened the scoring on the ensuing possession on a two-yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to wide receiver Pierre Garçon.

      · The touchdown was the Redskins’ first on a drive directly following a takeaway this season. All 13 of the Redskins’ first-half points came following takeaways.

      · With his first reception of the game, Garçon exceeded 3,000 receiving yards for his tenure with the Redskins, becoming the 13th player in team history to record 3,000 receiving yards with the franchise.

      · Cousins completed passes to nine different receivers, the team’s most since Week 17 last season (10 vs Dallas).

      · Cousins (4,450) moved past Doug Williams (4,350) for 15th in passing yards in team history.

      · Safety Jeron Johnson blocked a punt in the fourth quarter, the Redskins’ first blocked punt since Dec. 24, 2006 at St. Louis (Vernon Fox).

      · The blocked punt was recovered in the end zone by Rashad Ross, his second special teams touchdown of the season including a 101-yard kickoff return in the same stadium against the Giants in Week 3.

      · Ross’ blocked punt returned for touchdown was the Redskins’ first since Nov. 7, 2004 vs. Detroit (Walt Harris).

      · The Redskins now allowed only one sack. Washington has allowed one sack or fewer in four consecutive games for the first time since Weeks 9-13 of the 2006 season.

      · Kicker Dustin Hopkins recorded a career-long 54-yard field goal in the second quarter. It was the longest field goal by a member of the Redskins since Graham Gano’s team-record 59-yard field goal vs. San Francisco on Nov. 6, 2011.
